Ka De Club is where a lot of the expats go.
I personally like the one at the ground floor of the Shanghai Grand Theatre at People's Square (opposite Shanghai Museum). It's opposite the ticket offices, beside The Coffee Beanery.

I'm not sure if it's still open since I don't buy DVDs anyway. Try 505 Dagu Lu, I think the 483 Zhenning Lu outlet has closed already.
Travel Tips for Shanghai
Convenience Stores
by machomikemd
a lot in shanghai to get cheap food and drinks and bottled water. Convenience Stores are numerous in the Shanghai area and are life savers since they are opend 24 hours. But off course the trade off is that prices or slightly more expensive here than supermarkets ok due to the higher operating costs. like what i've said in previous tips, a 500 ml bottle here costs 6 RMB, an Aluminum Can of Beer at 8 RMB and a pack of cigarettes at 15 RMB. most don't speak english so just get the items you want and pay at the cashier and remember ask for and pay 0.25 RMB extra for the plastic bag! they don't give free plastic bags in china so you must pay for each plastic bag!
Strolling along the Bund
by Amareyui
A great place to do some people watching in Shanghai at night is the Huangpu Park and the Bund. Many locals come to the riverside to have a walk, or simply to escape the heat. This clear space is a treasure for the people who have to share the highly congested space in Shanghai.
Some families bring kites to fly. Many adults enjoy themselves by sitting down along the side of the paths and chatting. Others are relaxing after the getting through the crowds in Nanjing Dong Lu. Tourists continue their marvel at the contradiction between the Bund and Pudong at the opposite shore.
The Bund truly comes alive at night.

High Tea at Grand Hyatt Hotel
by aukahkay
The Grand Hyatt Shanghai hotel is the world's highest hotel located from the 53rd to 87th floors of Jin Mao Tower in Pudong. For great views of the Orient Pearl Tower and the Bund, go for high tea at the Grand Cafe located on the 53rd level. Prices are not expensive. Coffee latte costs only RMB 50, comparable to what you would normally have to pay in similar 5-star hotels in Shanghai.

"Doing Shanghai in 4 days"
OK, first of all: You'd need a bit more than 4 days in Shanghai to sample the sights and sounds, but still we made it around to see lots of stuff while we were there. We've been checking out the Oriental Pearl, the Bund, Nanjing Road and been haggling over various merchandise in the Xianyang Gift and Fashion Market.
