Modern Hotel - Excellent Rooms
We enjoyed 5 nights in this hotel to finish our 24 day visit to China. The hotel recently underwent a 3 year renovation and it looks like everything was replaced including the beautiful marble used throughout the hotel.
Our room was spacious and well furnished, included a large flat screen television which also included internet facility.
The bathroom was nice, included a bath/shower and the various soaps etc were replaced each day.
The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard, the best we experienced in China.
The hotel is located on the other side of the river to the Bund, no view available from our room. It also has a revolving restaurant on the 30th floor where we were able to take night photos of the city, although we did not dine there.
The last 2 nights of our stay were additional to our tour and booked through our tour company at US$100 per night including breakfast.

Great 4-Star-Hotel
I did not stay in Ocean Hotel myself, but the touroperator, which I work for, has this hotel as the hotel for our tourgroups in Shanghai. Just evrybody, who stays in the ocean Hotel is very satisfied. The best is the restaurant on top of the hotel, from where there is a great view of the Pudong Skyline.
