A Simple Trick to Get the Best Price
by gaolei about Xiangyang Market
Xiangyang market is a bargain hunter's paradise if you can bargain effectively. One thing you can do to gain an advantage is to take advantage of a Chinese superstition. Chinese feel they must get the first sale of the day out of the way so that other sales will flow in. The result is they will do anything to get the first sale.
It works like this. First, you have to do get to the market early in the day, before 10:00 AM. Look at the thing you want to buy, but don't look too anxious. Ask the price and they will say, how much you want to pay? Say you are just looking and you are not too interested in buying the article. Start to walk away and watch the price drop!
I was offered an LED flashlight for 120 RMB. After using my method, the price fell to 35 RMB. The seller didn't make much money, but he got that first crucial sale of the day.
Wow! Foie Gras and Lobster Carpaccio
by rugro about Luna
We went here for our New Years Eve celebration 2004/2005. All I can say is WOW! They served us a delicious meal. Lobster carpaccio and truffles, goose liver, veal and a nice dessert. Price? 388 RMB (without wine). This was a really nice experience. We drank a couple of bottles of champagne also and the evening was a hit! Also they have their own house band called Frictions. They really rock. Guitarist playing Hendrix tunes with his teeth and all!! Goose liver.... God da#¤!!! This really melted on the tongue... Wow again! Very tasty. Just go here if you get the chance.

A statue - showing that our children will bear this world !
This older part is so nice to visit - not only the thea house .A little bit further there is a small
"take away restaurant" - a very old building you will easily recognise by the steam coming out of the dirty windows.
Popular are the "Flour balls" cooked or steamed in a special sauce
