    • The hotel was extremely comfortable - although not the class of Ritz Calrton over the world. But it is still a 5 star hotel, large in size, and friendly service.

    • Splurged and stayed at the Portman for 2 nights. Rooms are NOT huge but I was treated to a high floor (27th??) and got to take great pics.

    Fabulous service, extremely helpful concierge.

    The Portman Ritz-Carlton is a first class all-the-way hotel, from the bellhops to the concierge to the gym to the breakfast.

    The veiws are great.

    If talking to the cab drivers it is known as the "porta-man". They will not know it as the Ritz or Ritz-Carlton.

    This is where my aunt lives and works. It is incredible. It’s a hotel, a residence for ex-pats (I didn’t know what that was until this trip), and a business center. This place has everything (grocery store for foreigners, drycleaner, several restaurants of varying price and quality, travel agents, business offices, bank, post office, gym, spa, and more)…..I cant get over how lucky we were to stay there.

    To visit China during the day, and to come home to an apartment just like home at night...lucky, lucky, lucky. If you live here, you don’t even need to leave…It’s practically its own city.

    I don’t think it’s a true taste of China, but it sure is one hell of a great pit stop between ventures out into the real country

    It’s the Ritz….Shanghai Center…it has everything so even if you don’t stay here, but are a foreigner and need a dose of home….or help…I am confident you can get it here.

    Wonderful hotel located on Najing Road. In the middle of all the actions. Smaller rooms than other but have everything you need, including HBO, Cinmax channels on TV. Restuarants are not that good, but the room service is very good.
