Help shopping for Electronics / Car accessories / Audio
by makore
Hey !
I am slated to visit chengdu for about 5 days towards the end of May. This is my first visit to china (I have otherwise travelled a fair bit in SE.Asia).
I would like to know where the markets are that sell car accessories / audio goods if such places exist. I understand that language will be a major issue and bargaining might be difficult.
If someone can direct me to a particular area/ district or even provide me with address etc of stores I would really appreciate it :)

Chengdu is a great city. Nice people, but not many people speak English here, and without bilingual signs or menu. Bargining will not be difficult if you have a pen and paper.:) Those stores you asked should be aound Xiaojiahe street. There are many small stores along this street. Hopefully you have a wonderful journey in my city.

Travel Tips for Chengdu
Marketstreets, more meat
by sachara
In the marketstreet with the meatstalls also large pieces of meat fat were hanging.
Because they had a lot of fat, I thought it looked like pork, but also this time I don't know for sure. The meat was hanging in the open air without possibilities for cold storage, but all looked clean and there were no flies around.

For those who have the romance of three kingdom, will probably enjoy this place alot. Heard that Korean and Japanese particularly like this place. The hall at the back has words written on the ceiling pillars, which are supposed to be the family motto.
Du Fu's Relics
by Willettsworld
These are some of the relics that they've unearthed from a few of the wells that once surrounded Du Fu's (712-770, a prominent Chinese poet) actual thatched cottage. The site is now enclosed under a building and you can walk around it and look down upon it plus view the finds.
Open: 7:30am-7pm. Admission: Y60.
