Taxi in Leshan are plentiful and very good. There are 2 bus stations in Leshan, so if you want to go to Emaishan, tell the driver that so he can take you to correct bus station. Leshan is very small town that the taxi does not have to travel far so it is very cheap. It is the same as in Emaishan. I was in these beautifully places about 2 years ago. The cute Little monkey in Emaishan robed my bag contain food money and passport and run off inside the forest.

hi
in chengdu there 6 bus stations.the buses to Leshan depart from the XINNAMEN bus station in every 20 or 30 minutes daily the ticket is around 7$.in Leshan it will be easy to take a taxi from the bus station to big buddha.it costs around 3-4$

Since there're 5 of you I would perhaps consider hiring a minivan and driver. Taxis wouldn't fit 5 passengers, only a maximum of 4.

Chengdu is the place from where you start to the nature reserve of Jiuzhaigou. Please see more in my travelogue for ashort view of my Jiuzhaigou-pics!

There's lots to see in Chengdu...
by MylesD
There's lots to see in Chengdu but don't miss out on the famous poet 'Du Fu's' park. (Kind of like a park).
I spent an afternoon there just wandering around, enjoying the birds and peeking into some of Du Fu's old residences. If you're into amazingly peaceful and serene walks, like i am, and you're into learning all about a legendary human being...step into Du Fu's park and you'll walk out stress-free.
Luodai - The Hakka Town
by mke1963
A visit to Sichuan’s largest Hakka town, Luodai, is an easy excursion from Chengdu for half a day or more. It lies to the east of the city at the foot of the Longyuanshan hills and is served by regular bus from Chengdu.
The town is reviewed on its own VT page.
