what is the best ski hill around chengdu? the only one i could find details on was XILING, and its vertical of 200m seems kind of dinky. are there any decent hills in sichuan? i heard they are building a ski resort at jiguanshan. does anyone have any information? thanks!
one at emei mt. 2 hours from chengdu;
one at zhegu mt., close to miyaluo, 6 hours up from chengdu;
how's the hill at mt. emei? does it have a website? is it bigger that xiling?

I really enjoyed my strolling around in the marketstreets, I didn't bring anything home, except the good memories, the pictures and this last picture of a marketstall with stuff I don't know what it is. So maybe I can find out later or anybody can tell me or .... it will be one of the mysteries of this lovely market for ever.
Wuhou temple was my first place to visit in Chengdu.
Not really expected as I was supposed to fly straight away to Lhassa.
This is an excellent place to see with some local historical background.
The Giant Panda Research Breeding Base has a very informative visitor's centre and museum which showcases everything you need to know about pandas. We watched a film about them which was very good and educational and then saw some photo's, facts and info plus some artefacts including panda poo - just dried out bamboo. Ouch! There's also a shop where you can buy paper based items that are actually made from panda poo!
