Undoubtedly the cutest of all bears and the most interesting to watch!!!! They were adorable, especially the panda cubs playing around with eachother! I took goodness knows HOW many photos on my normal camera, and Charles took another 30 or so on his digital, so i'll soon have many many panda pictures up on this page! And I promise you, you won't get bored of them..every one of them is slightly different!

The Panda Breeding Reserve is only 10km from Chengdu City Centre. Sam from 'Sam's Guesthouse' offers a tour out there, well the bus ride actually, but it's really not worth doing it with him. Its more expensive and not necessary. His bus leaves at 730am, we left at 8am (an extra half hour sleep makes all the difference!!!). He charges 70yuan for the return trip and then you have to pay the 30yuan entrance fee on top of that. By going on your own, you can get bus #1 from the hostel to the bus station on Erhuan Bei Lu and then bus #9 to the last stop. From there you get a pedicab to the reserve which should cost no more than 10yuan. If there are four of you, a taxi is the easiest thing to take. 30yuan one way, meaning you save around 50yuan each person! We were there for about 3.5hrs and then bought some cute panda teddy bears from the stalls outside as they were far cheaper than the ones inside!

The Spiritual Mountain of Mt Emei

by Green_Frog

We'd planned to climb Mt Emei but due to the very wet weather it was advised that we should not attempt this and as we were approx 500kms from where the earthquake hit China in April - it seemed like the Country was on high alert with army trucks everywhere.
