Red Autumn Leaves

Due to the new traffic regulation that we must arrive by 12 noon, we had to travel to Jiuzhaigou via Mian Yang to be on time for our entry.
One of the must see in Jiuzhaigou is the Cai Ling which is the red autumn leaves. We were very lucky indeed to see a rare sight where the red autumn leave and full in full bloom on the mountain even at the end of autumn and begining of winter.
Our coach captain took the risk and stop the coach for a few minutes in order for us to take these beautiful red autumn leaves.

The second day's admission is free except the three national long holidays, so you may enjoy the beauty of this fairyland for extra time especially in the autumn.
Tourist has to inform the staff of your sencond day's admission when purchasing/picking your ticket, and have your photo taken & printed on the ticket.

Tibetan-Qiang folk custom

Touring Jiuzhaigou is at the same time a spiritual tour of the Tibetan-Qiang culutre. The mysitc Tibetan Buddhism, the Benbo religious culture, the beautiful national song and dance, the warmhearted Tibetan people, all let you feel a serene state of mind divorced from worldly vulgarism.
Trekking (hiking)

Many tourist come to Jiuzhaigou and leave on a rush. If you have time, you should spend at least 2 days doing simple trekking along the well marked trails. It is definitely worth it considering the breathtaking scenery.
Tibetan villages

There are a few Tibetan villages in the Jiuzhaigou area. You will know when you approaching a Tibetan village because of the presence of colourful flags fluttering on both sides of the road. In a Tibetan village, there will be a Tibetan temple with rows of golden cylinders which you spin to ward off evil. The interior of a Tibetan house is most elaborate with ornate carvings of horsemen, dragons and Tibetan dieties.
