Traffic Hotel: Budget dorms
A bed in a 4-bed dorm room only costs 15Y here - probably the cheapest night's sleep in the whole of China! It's reasonably comfortable, there's a TV in the room. but the shared bathrooms leave something to be desired!
They can arrange a shared mini-van to KaraKul Lake and Kashgar, or at least point you to the bus station. The manager speaks some English. The restaurant was being refurbished when we were there, but there are good restaurants nearby.

Crown Inn: Crown Inn Tashkorgan
Clean and modern room. nice hard bed and good bathroom facilities. restaurant serves an excellent international breakfast. the staff and Singaporean managers are friendly, attentive and efficient.
surrounding mountain scenery is breath-taking!

Crown Inn: Best Hotel in Tashkorgan
Up in this remote town, this hotel would be considered a 5-star standard in other parts of China. But don't expect a swimming pool (of course if there is one existed, it would only operates in Summer ). This Singaporean owned and operated hotel room rates are much expensive comparing to others hotels around.
However, this place is the cleaniest hotel in town based on Xinjiang standard with white linen and clean towels. Staffs are helpful and the manager speaks fluent english and mandarin. The restaurant serves good chinese ,western and Singaporean cuisines but charged much expensive comparing dining in the local restaurants.
The Hotel closed on the winter months from November- March.
Very basic amenities like a simple restaurant. Services available included free internet service, guide and tour arrangements, vehicle arrangements and even an mountainerrien expedition. Like most hotel around, it offers great mountain view. The hotel accept internet booking and transport arrangemnet to the hotel.

Another hotel is not a hotel's name, the name of this hotel is XingGuang. This is just another hotel that I saw among ermm around 6 hotels in town. All these hotel located in the same area because not that many roads here.

Traffic Hotel: Traffic Hotel
A view from further distance of the Traffic Hotel that I recommended in a tip before this. Most of the Chinese buildings are using the same materials such as this white rectangular mosaic in photo. A Brazilian whom I met in the bus was a first time tourist in China, his response was "Do you know what, this is the typical Communist construction that I saw back in Romania...."

Traffic Hotel cost us 10 yuan each in the dormitory, clean but no bathroom. No bathroom was a big problem at very first, but slowly we discovered this little town of Tashkorgan has a very special culture which is to bath in the public bath shops, just like to eat dinner at any restaurants on the street. Those bath shops charge a mere 3 yuan per bath inside a huge bathroom which they built for business.
