The Entrance
In August this year we travelled to Kunming to adopt a child. His name is Wu Zhong and he is a wonderful child. We fell in love with Kunming when we were there and hope to return regularly in the future.
Whilst we were there, our guide took us to where they believed Wu Zhong was found but it did not fit the description we had from the orphanage.
Wu Zhong was found outside the Xiao Xiao Laundry opposite the Defan School in Kunming City. I was wondering if any locals would be able to find this location and take several photos and email them to me at snelvis@tpg.com.au
I know this is a big ask from someone you do not know but if you do this for me I will be happy to send a gift from Australia to you.

Overviewing DianChi from Shi Mountain. Dian Chi is only good for viewing from far, the water is badly polluted when see closely, plus, nothing to do there, you cannot really walk by the lake as people there blosked all places requesting entrance fees from tourists, absolutely a tourists trap.
Take a walk around 8-9 pm in the evening inside the Green lake (2nd entrance) premises. You will find a whole host of Chinese musicians and dancers formed in little groups singing and dancing away. There was a solo woman just singing and dancing by herself. Very friendly folk who try their best to talk to you, despite your horribly accented or non-existent Mandarin. Please take your translation book along!
A chinese medicine shop which sells herbal foot-spa powder !! I have been to many massage parlours in Kunming, and of course they use this powder for the foot-spa. I like the herbal aroma of it.
So when I saw this shop selling it (1 pack for RMB 5, you only need to pour half a pack in the hot water each time), i just had to buy it. Herbal foot-spa powder RMB 5 per pack
It is not really what I call a restaurant, but there I don't know what category it fall under.
But you can't go wrong with fresh pop corn, popped as you wait on the back of a bicycle. for about 1 RMB (prices very from location and vendor) Well, all they have is pop corn.
The museum is in a Soviet style building. This is one of the smaller provincial museums I've seen in China. It had almost no dynastic relics like the others. It did have sections on bronze drums, one dinosaur skeleton and a good section on porcelain.
