In capital of ancient China, on city center axle must build a bell tower or a drum tower. So did in Hangzhou – the South Song Dynasty. Unfortunately Hangzhou drum tower was destroyed in period of The Culture Revolution. Currently it is rebuilt at original position with original style. There is a museum in this monument and relating thing about old drum tower and treasures in it.
Spring Dawn at Su Causeway
As the name indicated, this scene is on Su Causeway.
Literally, it means walking on Su Causeway in a Spring morning. During the walk, you can see newly growed grass, new leaveson the tree, the lake view and other people enjoy themselves on the causeway.
On the forth photo, it's statue of Su Shi. He is a very famous writer, poet, artist, calligrapher, pharmacologist in Song Dynasty. He was also the governor in Hangzhou, during his peroid, he built the Su Causeway.
China Silk Museum
This excellent museum is located south of West Lake and is the first state-level professional silk museum in China as well as the biggest silk museum throughout the world. It opened to the public in 1992 and since 2004, people can visit it for free. The museum introduces the 5000-year-long history of Chinese silk culture. China is the earliest country that engaged in sericulture, filature and making clothes with silk. It details what it takes to produce and make silk garments and then exhibits such garments. There's also a shop were you buy silk items.
