Travel Tips for Hangzhou

Lake of Happiness

by lovespaniel

on weekend, just walk by the west lake- see the life of ppl - line dancing, pracitising qi gong, family camping by the garden, walk on the path way thru beds of flowers and cruising on the lake...

just dun forget to wear comfortable shoes and bring lots of water as the lake and garden cover big area and u wouldn't wanna miss the fun exploring.... Hangzhou...e tour guide will say ...hangzhou is famous for its beautiful lakes and ladies...tats' true.

eveything is so perfect ....beautiful and serene lake, hills and's truly a heaven in jiangnan. even the most fiercesome warrior who was exiled to hangzhou - his heart could melt in hangzhou.

Beautiful gardens

by easterntrekker

Willows drapp the banks of West lake making it a classic scene found in many Chinese silk scrolls. The gardens are fantastic , with lots of ancient evergreens trained and pruned into shape by many gardeners over the years.

Hangzhou in SpringTime

by gwen_tifa

Hangzhou is approximately 3 hours ride away from Shanghai. This was the first city which I visited during my Study Mission trip to the Yangtze River Delta. This place is also where the famous Zhejiang University is situated. It is ranked third amongst all universities in China. It is made up of 6 campuses.

"Interaction with the Zhejiang University Students"

Well, talking about Zhejiang University, my visit there of course inculdes interactions with the students there. Most of the students who brought my classmates around the campus belonged to the first year students. It was mentioned that students that study in this prestigious university are cream of the crop in thier own provinces. Hence, this universtiy is not only made up of students from Hangzhou, but also from other parts of China.

Hangzhou is famous for its Longjing Tea. We were brought to visit tea plantations and one of the tea house to taste this exquisite tea.
