The Hua Gang Park (Flower Harbor Park) was a small private garden built and owned by Lu Yunsheng.
Flower Harbor became a recreation resort for viewing goldfishes.
In the park there are four sections, the Peony Yard, the Red Fish Pool, the Thick Forest Zone and the New Flower Harbor.
Leifeng Pagoda
by aukahkay
Leifeng Pagoda was originally erected by Qian Hongchu, king of the Kingdom of Wu and Yue in 977 to celebrate the birth of his son by his favourite concubine, Concubine Huang. The original pagoda was destroyed in 1924 and a new one, 80m high, was re-constructed at its original site in 2000. The golden spire of the pagoda shimmers in the setting sun and can be visible from all over the Westlake.

"Chinese garden"
For garden lovers - this is the place to be !
The legend is telling that the famous Venice explorer Marco Polo
(1254-1323) visited this city in 1280 and said "This is the most beautiful city of the world" - Or Heaven on earth !
Times are changing ! When he would visit this city today - he might change his opinion !
It lost a lot of his rich history
"Gardens - a lot"
Always fascinating ! The chinese gardens and architecture !
I visited this big country in september - maybe not the best season for green lovers - but oké - who knows - revisting is always possible now that China opened its borders !
