As I have very short time to visit Hangzhou, I could only choose one place to visit. My friend told me the west lake and Ling Ying temple are the must see places. I chose the temple thought because on the way to the temple, we could see the lake pretty well.
Hangzhou is a sub-provincial city in China and the capital of Zhejiang province. Located 180 km southwest of Shanghai, Hangzhou is also well-known for its beautiful natural scenery, with the West Lake as the most noteworthy location.
Hangzhou is about 2 hours coach ride from the Shanghai bus station.
You can make it a day trip or an overnight stay in the many hotels located there.
Expect chaotic situation at the bus station at Hangzhou as there are lots of people.
You can take the buses which travels around the lake for sightseeing.
