Bus from Hangzhou to Shanghai Pudong Airport
by sinophile
I wish to catch the bus from Hangzhou directly to Shanghai Pudong Airport on January 27th. My flight leaves at 13:15. However, I cannot find the timetable anywhere on the internet. Does anyone know the bus schedule?
Many thanks,
Kerri

Hi Kerri,
Just go get the conversation rolling here, my suggestion is that you go to the Hangzhou train station and/or long distance bus station and inquire there (if you have enough time to do so in Hangzhou.)
I am someone doubtful that there are direct buses from Pudong airport to Hangzhou. There might be, but it's likely a bus from Hangzhou would dump you off in central Shanghai and then you'll have to switch transport.
Good luck
Chris

Good work tony, that schedule should be somewhat useful to Kerri. Too bad the schedule doesn't say exactly where the terminus is in Hangzhou. My guess would be the train station.

Lunch at Xi Hu Lou
by imstress about Xi Hu Lou
Xi Hu Lou is our very first meal in China and in Hangzhou. We had a 10 course meal arranged by the tour. Beware of very fine bones when you eat the fish. The food tends to be a bit salty and oily in almost every restaurant we go to. sweet sour fish
fried shredded potato
many plates of vegetables
steam eggs
fat meat

Hangzhou Botanical Garden
by Willettsworld
Covering an area of about 230 hectares (approx. 568 acres), the Hangzhou Botanical Garden can be found at the foot of Jade Spring Hill in the northwest end of West Lake. It was originally built in 1956, and is not only a park in which to feast your eyes on beautiful plants, but also a research base where fields such as the cultivation of plants and protection of environment are studied. Some 3,500 species of plants can be found here in 14 specialised gardens, of which the Bamboo Garden is probably the most unusual.
Open: 7am-5pm. Admission: Y10.
