Travel Tips for Hangzhou

The Famous West Lake Boat Ride

by Azri_Azmi

We took the West Lake boat ride after we finished our Lei Feng Pagoda visit. This boat ride covered few islands and spots. Each spots had its own attraction.

We bought some souvenirs and silks here. As usual, we bargained to the maximum.

I also rented an Emperor dress and did some photo shooting. Kewl!!!

Beautiful Hangzhou

"Hangzhou"

Hangzhou is a cool city 2 hours away from Shanghai with it's main attraction being the famous West Lake. This lake is quite large compared to other west lakes in china, and has many beautiful parks and gardens. The best thing being most of these parks and nature walks are free to all, something which is quite rare, in revenew focused modern China.
My girlfriend and I have been riding our bikes around the lake every weekend now for months and have only covered about 30 percent of the lake. It really makes for a nice bike ride.
