Great hotel in Yinzhou, southwest Ningbo suburb
First a note: This hotel is owned by the same firm who runs the New Century Hotel Ningbo, but this is a different, upscale property.
The hotel was opened in 2007.
I have stayed at this location 3 times in 2008 with excellent service. Rooms are nicely decorated. The architecture of the common spaces - especially the lobby - is exceptional. The main lobby bar features indoor ponds with running water. Outdoors the landscaping also features gardens
and pools, along with a small river or canal adjacent to the property.
The staff are exceptionally helpful; English skills are good. They do not seem to get a large
number of English-speaking guests, though.
The hotel has the amenities you would expect for a 4 star hotel, including full business center, multiple restaurants, health club with gym and pool, spa, etc.
Compared to other hotels in China the rates are a great value.
Only negative - the location is suburban; not much nightlife/ etc/ in walking distance outside the hotel. There is a large mall "Wanda Mall" about 1 1/2 miles away; the hotel runs a shuttle. They also have free shuttle service to Ningbo airport.
Unique Quality: The health club: gym, pool, table tennis, etc., are first rate.
As mentioned, the decor is beautiful in both common areas and rooms. The architect used water extensively, including inside the building!
Staff is exceptionally attentive.
