Low Budget Accomodation
We had stayed in this Guest House thru out the whole trip. This place was rather cheap for us. The room was quite clean. The bathroom was not attached to the room. We were lucky that the bathroom was just opposite of our room.
Directions: About 15 minutes walk from Yau Ma Tei MTR Station
Just stayed there for 6 nights (budget @ HK$242 per night) with a communal bath room, a TV, 2 single beds, basic furniture of a chair and a writing table, a cupboard and a wash basin.... cozy, neat and clean. Reasonable place, but slighty far from MTR Yau Ma Tei... a leisure stroll is good if you are not in a rush.
Guest house in Hongkong
Due to shortage of hotel rooms in HK one weekend that we go there, we end up staying at a guesthouse, YWCA Anne Black.
Its a good choice, clean, very safe, great location as its near bus stop, its relatively cheap (inexpensive), and overall accommodations are okay. Staff are also nice and helpful.
It was almost fully booked, room available only is on mens floor (I think as all occupants there are men) with communal bathrooms.
The rooms are compact (small ) just enough to have twin single beds, wash area, basic amenities.. It was a nice and tidy room with clean sheets and pillows.
They got separate bathroom for men and women and all got locks. Lucky for us, our room is next to the ladies bathroom, since we are the only ladies (me and my sister) occupant on the floor, we are the only one that use it..
Unique Quality: The guesthouse is situated in a hill, a short walk only from the bus stop but its uphill :-(.
There is a nearby Mc Donalds in the area to grab some breakfast..
Value for money, well recommended.
Directions: @ the back of Kowloon Public Library, near Metropole Hotel.
Take Bus #7 to Star Ferry
We stayed at the YWCA - as it turned out, not only a place for women - in Kowloon.
It is conveniently close to shopping areas like the Ladies Market, the Night market and the Jade Market as well as the well known Nathan Road.
YWCA Anne Black Hong Kong offers comfortable, fairly inexpensive, safe and clean accommodation. The staff who works there are very friendly and helpful. There is a café/restaurant downstairs where you can have breakfast or dinner at extra cost.
We booked through the internet and everything went very smooth!
