can't beat it for the price

This is a nice small hotel for the money. Has free wire-less internet in the lobby but did'nt work with my computer or phone so I had to go next door to the Cosmopolitan Hotel where it worked. Hard as a rock beds and small rooms but good location for the money if you don't walking which I don't.

Cosco Hotel Hong Kong

Hello,

will be travelling yo Hong Kong soon and wondering your opinions on Cosco Hotel. Has anybody heard of it. I know it is a little far away from the centre, but I value cleanness most. How does it compare with Ibis North point and Novotel Century?

Thank you for your help.

Cosco hotel is located in Kennedy town which is a bit far away from town. There will be traffic jam in peak hours. You need to spend 20-25 minutes to go to the nearest MTR station, i.e., Sheung Wan, under normal circumstances. Additional time on travelling should be taken into account of.

I have lived in Novotel Century before though I am a local. The room is clean and the hotel is easily accessible. However, I think the room rate is bit high.

I heard of IBIS North Point before and know where it is, yet I do not know the cleaniness issue. So far I have stayed with IBIS group in other countries and the room is clean in general and I do not know whether the same standard is maintained in Hong Kong. But I would say the location is good.

I do not know your budget on accommodation. I have another suggestion for you to consider, the hotel is called Cosmopolitan Hotel which is located in Causeway Bay, 10-15 minutes walking time to the MTR station. This hotel is new and 4 star. Pls check it out to see if this one fits into your budget.

I hope the above information helps. Pls feel free to let me know for any queries.

Cheers
Joyce

Thank you very much.I have two more questions if you don't mind.
I am wondering if you happen to know what the websites with the best hotel deals are. Have you heard anything about hotel ( and flight) deals from Hong Kong to Philippines and Thailand?
I will appreciate your help a lot.

Cheers
