There are (much) better hotels!
The world's smallest hotel room, with the world's loudest airco and the world's hardest beds. We bailed out after one night. Breakfast was terrible. Spend an extra 30USD and get yourself a 4 star hotel.

Probably one of the smallest hotel rooms I've stayed in (Hotel 1929 still beats this out). But it's clean (enough) and serves its purpose. One complaint: breakfast. Not exactly first class.
Unique Quality: Biggest plus: A great restaurant and a 711 downstairs. Not satisfied? Hawkers a block away.
AND! Temple Street Night Market is just a block away.
Found this hotel while walking the streets in Kowloon Dist. I had to transfered due to overbooking at hotel I was had. But it was a blessing, due to better rates...great location.... helpful staff.... great room.
Unique Quality: Rates were the best quality. Staff was very helpful. Rooms are clean and roomy. Location is in tourist district of Kowloon. Walking distance to all attractions and malls. Near subway entrance. Cafe is serves free breakfast....not the greatest...could improve. Simple room with great rates.
It was always going to be difficult on a budget to get a hotel with a room for four. First impressions of the room were not great, four single beds in a line and a single wardrobe to share for all. After a couple of days the place really grew on me, the staff were really helpful and the included ( very basic ) breakfast was a good start to the day. One block from Temple St Market was perfect for bargain hunting and dining amongst the locals. Free internet stations in the corridor are handy to keep in touch and quite fast while the self service laundry and dryer were a nice touch when travelling with kids
Unique Quality: Great location for people who want to be in the heart of things. Five minutes walk to nearest MTR and two minutes to Nathan Rd

A cute hotel in the heart of Kowloon. One block of temple market and jade street market. The rooms are clean, the staff are helpful and polite. The ladies that put on a great buffet breakfast to kick off the day are the best. Starbuckets is right on Nathen Street. This is a Hotel to stay to experience what Hong Kong is all about. You in the Heart of Kowloon busy streets for great food, shopping and night life. Walking is safe and the MTR is close to explore all of Hong Kong.
Like I said, " Hotels are for eyelid training in Hong Kong. This is the jewel hotel to stay at.
Not as well located as it seemed - it lay midway between Tsim Tsa Tsui and Mong Kok, where not much goes on. You will need to walk to the nearest MTR station (Jordan), and catch a train every time you want to go any where unfortunately, unless you want to check out Temple Street Markets.
We stayed in a room in the middle of the fourth floor, where there were no windows, so we had no idea what the weather was like outside. The lifts only went up to the third floor, so we needed to climb an extra flight of stairs each times... imagine carrying your luggage up stairs!
The room was spacious for three people though, and was clean. The beds were firm, and we had no issues with the bathroom. Good value compared to other more expensive places such as the Stanford Hillview Hotel.
We had free internet access, which was cool, although the machines may have been loaded with spyware, keyloggers, and viruses. The free breakfast was very ordinary, and the breakfast room was so tiny, that we often had to share tables with other guests (each table sat 3-4 people). Use of the laundry room was free.
The staff was very polite and quiet and was helpful when possible. Almost all of them had only basic English skills though. Housekeeping was really polite by clearing the way whenever you needed to pass them through the narrow corridors.
The worst thing about staying here was the size of the key fob attached to the room key! Shaped to look like an Evergreen tree, it was the size of an open hand. Luckily, one of us always had baggy pockets or a bag with us. We tried removing the key from the key ring, but it was soldered closed.
Overall, I would stay here again, simply because of its good value. It's not a 3 or 4 star hotel, but it was cosy and very adequate. I would recommend this hotel for most travellers.
Stayed here for 2 nights and were not overly impressed. Location is brilliant and the rooms are very clean, with friendly staff. However, the beds are ridiculously hard - no give in the mattress at all. Aircon is also very very loud. We turned ours off at night, but should have just left it on, as could hear next door's/blocks aircon. If you are staying here, bring earplugs, you will need them!
This place is definitely strictly to crash in after a long day out.
If your prime holiday consideration is "The Hotel"; if you want to be pampered, spoiled and patronised; if splendour and opulence is paramount, don't stay at the Evergreen.
Because this hotel will not please you. This hotel does what it says on the tin and no more, it provides decent, basic accommodation at a fair price.
Slap in the middle of work-a-day Kowloon, with all its bustle, noise, smells and character, The Evergreen is a gem. Small, clean, comfortable rooms, quiet air con, a good breakfast, lovely staff, right next to the best transport system in the world, all for £20 per night? Come on!
The next time we visit Hong Kong my wife and I won't hesitate to book in again. Well done Evergreen, may you stay Green forever!

I stayed with my wife at Evergreen Hotel HK from 25 to 29 April 2007 and from 30 April to May 1th 2007 (1 night out in Shenzhen, China)...I reserved via hotelclub.net and paid 90€/night, with no breakfast on my booking conditions, however when checked-in, we were breakfast free after all :) Hotel is located in a rather tipical HK street, with 7Eleven right next door and lots of restaurants available, and besides right next to Temple Market St....and near crossing between Nathan Road and Jordan Road, so lots of Buses and MTR right a small walk away..very cool! The hotel itself has fair conditions for the price, breakfast is everyday the same but not just oriental, also european, has free internet in 3th floor (5 computers!), has free laundry! Rooms are small but with all conditions, including TV with 4 channels, Mini bar, coffee&tea facilities, complete WC with hair dryer and all! Staff is excelent, always at your disposal...Mr. Simon Lam is the best, maybe because of him I got so nice rooms (at hotelclub you can only get at Evergreen Twin Beds, but he manage to give me Double for both stays)...is a great man!!
Conclusion , a fair hotel for the price and vice-versa!

Great location for people who want to be in the heart of things. Five minutes walk to nearest MTR and two minutes to Nathan Rd
