Enchanting stay at Disneyland Hotel
by j9_36
I so love the hotel so much, we have experienced a genuine costumer service that a hotel has to offer.. from the arrival, upon check in and upon check out.. Breakfast buffet was great, amenities of the hotel is great too. Kids can never be bored as well as the kids at heart :)) Even if I have stayed here once, I think this is the best hotel for me already in Hong Kong :)

Enchanting Experience at HK Disneyland Hotel
by TripAdvisor Member merryberry73
We stayed at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel from 10-12th Dec 2007 and were very pleased with the overall experience. We booked the Fantasia Room through the internet 2 months before.
Having stayed in Mongkok earlier, we decided to take a taxi to the Hotel as we were traveling with 2 kids (5yr & 1.5yr) and several luggage. It would be cheaper taking the MTR line. But we figured that the transits with kids, luggage and pram would not be easier with the MTR - we were on holiday after all!
What struck us upon checking-in were the tranquil settings within the hotel grounds. We were unsure if it would be more crowded at other times of the year, but the peacefulness was a good welcome after a few days of very crowded shopping experiences.
Our Fantasia Room was spacious. The toilet was huge with a jacuzzi. We thought the addition of the kids stool at the sink was very thoughtful. The room was very clean and the Victorian deco was very tastefully done. However, there was no detachable shower head for bathing the kids and the cot that we requested was also small for our younger son. The cot's base height cannot be adjusted downwards as our younger son can stand on his own and could possibly climb out. Despite getting the help of their very prompt housekeeping service, we just had to make do with the cot provided. The cot's was really meant for an infant baby.
The view from our hotel room was excellent! We had a good view of the beautiful hedge maze and a partial view of the sea. The hotel also had a back gate that allowed guest access to the concrete path along the sea.
We ate dinner at the Crystal Lotus restaurant (a la carte) and had buffet breakfast at the Enchanted Garden restaurant the next morning. Enchanted Garden had Disney Characters appear for photo taking with the kids. It certainly was better than queuing at the park itself! Enchanted Gardens would require an earlier reservation, as we found out on the first night. The breakfast buffet spread was sumptuous, but as adults we were pretty distracted when the characters appeared for photo taking with our kids. Because of its popularity, we guessed the hotel had split the breakfast time to be 7am-9am and 9am-11am. We took the earlier timing thinking of spending more time at the park - However, we love waking up late on holidays and naturally found ourselves rushing through breakfast when told that the next crowd would be coming at 9am.
We found that the 10min interval shuttle bus would first stop at Disneyland hotel and then make its way to Hollywood hotel before the Disneyland park itself. We noted that at Hollywood hotel, the queues for the shuttle were much longer and they would probably wait longer.
Our family would always enjoy a little luxury during our holidays and staying at Disneyland Hotel gave us the perfect opportunity to pamper ourselves. Not considering our full day at the park itself, the tranquility of the hotel grounds and the relaxing atmosphere of our 2 nights stay made it a perfect end to our Hong Kong trip before returning home.
nice but liked Hollywood better
by TripAdvisor Member TheMcs
Stayed at this and the Hollywodd hotel at the beginning and end of our holiday. The sevice is better in this than the Hollywood, but unlike others I found this hotel more noisey and frantic. The foyer always seemed packed and the pool area felt far more on show with lots of people wandering by as we sat by the pool. We were upgraded to a corner room which was quite nice but did not seem to have as much space for 2 adults and 2 children as there was just a king size bed and a single sofa bed they did offer to put another camp bed in but this would have made it a squeeze.
However this is a good five star hotel with great access for the park and could easily be used for a sightseeing base. The food is very good but I would say we rated Chef Micky at the Hollywoood as slightly better and less frantic. Though the kids loved the characters around while they were supposed to be eating. Overall a good value five star hotel. The spa and gym looked nice too althought we didn't use them.
A Lovely Hotel
by TripAdvisor Member JodieTravel01
Our family (two adults and children are aged 5 and 7) had a lovely two nights at this hotel. This was our experience:
Location: After a long flight from Australia it was nice to have a short drive (15 mins) from the airport to the hotel. We caught an airconditioned minivan (based on an approach at the airport). We know it probably cost 25% more than a cab but there were four of us and with luggage we would have struggled to fit into a taxi.
Arrival: The hotel is beautifully lit at night, check in was professional and effortless and our room was luxurious and peaceful looking out over the maze and beyond to the ocean. The lobby is spectacular - marble and chandeliers. It all feels very new.
The Room: 5 Star all the way. The Disney touches were everywhere - from the amazing toiletries packaged in a Disney box to the seven dwarfs wooden mirror frame. Beds were very comfy, bathroom was largish and scrupulously clean. Kids loved the robes sized for them!
Meals: The negative is that you are a long way from everything, so your only close options meals wise are at the hotel, the Hollywood Hotel (nearby) or the Park. The first morning we wanted a light, inexpensive breakfast - the continental breakfast in the Saloon was really the only choice. This turned out to be substantial (heaps of different breads; yoghurt and fruit) and surprisingly good value. Tip: If you book your meals at reception it's cheaper than booking and paying at the restaurants (guess they are trying to reward hotel guests with slightly reduced charges)?
The second morning we did the Character Breakfat buffet and it was excellent - great food variety and high quality. Tip: The characters arrived at 8am in the middle of the 7-9 sitting, there are only 4 - Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy but they spend a lot of time with the kids.
Access to the Park: there is a shuttle bus every ten minutes to the park. When we were there the hotel had a two days for the price of one deal - it's quite easy to cover nearly all of the park in a day but it was nice to have the option to revisist favourite rides and attractions on the second day. Refer separate review of the Park - in summary it's definately worth a visit if you have children under 12.
Pool and Grounds: A fabulous pool with waterslide (our kids must have been on it 20 times). Heaps of comfy lounges for the adults. They also enjoyed the garden maze. Overall this hotel was a lovely, peaceful oasis, providing a stress free way to visit Hong Kong Disneyland. Note - Sept seemed to be a very quiet time - it might be different with lots of crowds around.
Loved the DH

My friends and I - the 4 of us - had a crazy day in the park, couldn't wait to settle down at the Disneyland Hotel. Shuttle bus service is available right outside the park. I dont believe anyone would like to walk from the park to the hotel....a bit far in my opinion. Went for check in at like 9 in the evening so there weren't any line ups, quick and efficient. Booked a sea view with balcony room, but there were only ONE set of toilet amenity, ONE set of shower cap, comb....etc.etc we weren't amused as we were tired and stuff, but the housekeeping staffs were quick to get us loads. Brilliant view we've got. We could see the IFC CLEARLY from our balcony.
There weren't much selections from the room service menu, nonetheless, the food and the service were brilliant.
The room was spacious and was brilliantly furnished. Loved the Victorian style. We explored the conference rooms and the swimming pool, there's only one word to describe..."WOW"!
Did i mention the lovely morning call? You have to set one up, it's MICKEY giving you the morning call!!!! It's very cute.
Would definitely love to stay there again.

Disney has 2 hotels inside its park. one is more expensive than the other.
Did you check the rates for both hotels?
I think june is considered as peak season because it's school holiday season. so I am not sure if the rate will be cheaper in the next few days or weeks.
