Trip to Hong Kong

by mike2873

Hi
I'll be in Hong Kong for 3 days in July together with my two daughters (11,12 years old)
I plan to bring them to Hong Kong Disneyland and I'm thinking of staying in Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Sha Tin
my question please is it far from Disneyland and from down town and what transportation i could get if i want to go around from the hotel

thanks

The hotel is a new one near the Chinese University. For the local people, it is inconvenient and far away from the Disneyland. I suggest you to book the Disneyland Hotel and they would have free shuttle between the park and the hotel so you can return to the hotel for a rest than go back to see the firework at around 8 p.m.
I suggest you to book one night in Mongkok, Langham Hotel. My cousin from UK stayed there last December 2009. It was very convenient to local shops. I think your children would like to see the trendy and electricals in the nearby. Also, lots of lovely and inexpensive foodshops around.
Wish you have a nice journey

Ann

Transportation in hk is very convenient and it'll just take u about an hour to go to the Hotel from the Disneyland. However, the Hyatt Regency Hotel is far away from the Disneyland in terms of location.

Are you spending all 3 days on the Disneyland? The HK Disneyland is not really large. It's much smaller compared with the US one. You could consider to book the Disneyland hotel for one night, and the 2nd day afternoon and the 3rd day to do sight-seeing.
