Hi,

I think you have not enough time in Macau. Is all this included in a tour? I did a day trip to Macau which left at 9am and returned at 5pm and did not include all af those things. That and the half day city sights tour of HK means a huge day. It is best to take more time in one place.

Another suggestion is to leave that afternoon free for shopping and night life and spend your free day in Macau or even go to Lantau Island to visit the Po Lin monastery and Giant Buddha going by the Ngong Ping cable car.

yep.. we tried to negotiate our macau tour but they did not agree :(
so we only have short time stay in macau.. we'll try to back there in one of our free time if it is still enough..
yes, ill include ngong ping in our itinerary, you think that would ba a whole day? best time to go there, i saw a package in their site, HKD250.
thank you

Travel Tips for Hong Kong

Christmas

by cjg1

The Christmas season is a great one here in Hong Kong. You really should come by and check it out at Christmas time. Starting right about the time of American Thanksgiving they start setting up the square with the Christmas village and large tree.

I really cant explain why but it was a surprise to see this and I was very thrilled to have seen a seasonal festival

snap shot at Hong Kong Central District

This view you won't miss when you step out from the Star Ferry Pier and heading to the central business district. The structure in the foreground is Remembrace Monument, behind it is Hongkong High Court. There are Hongkong Bank and Old China Bank buildings at the backdrop.

Go and take the tram to the top of the 'PEAK' and have a 360 degree view of the surrounding area. This is a must see. Watching over one in four people walk around with that funny looking thing attached to their ear. I think it was called a cell phone. The other thing that is hard to forget was the highrises that are being built with BAMBOO scaffolding

Fresh Crab anyone?

As we were strolling around Central after riding the midlevels we stopped at one of the many street markets here in Hong Kong. This particular market was a food market. You can find all sorts of food items especially fruits and vegtables.

I took a pic of this particular "seafood" market. As we continued our stroll I was so excited to see a stand selling one of my favorite fruits, GUAVA!! Yum...

Shopping on Nathan Road

by hkgirl

Nathan Road stretches from Mongkok to Tsim Sha Tsui and it's a prominant shopping area for locals.
Mongkok has the Ladies Market and Garden Street, where you can find CDs, clothes, electronics, gadgets, and everything cheaply. I can't guarantee that they are all genuine.
As you go towards Tsim Sha Tsui, the shops get more upscale but everything is still so affordable.
You can take the No 6 bus all the way along Nathan Road at night. Take a seat on the upper deck and enjoy the vibrancy of the city. Most shops open after 11am and close around midnight.
