Nice Hotel choosy bed

Stayed a total of 4 days. hotel located in Tsim Sha Tsui. Conveniently located within shopping streets, departmental stores and walking distance to MTR (Hotel is somewhere midway of Tsim Sha Tsui and Jordan MTR). Eateries aplentiful on the street itself. Strategic location makes walking to anywhere such as the harbourfront etc possible.

Room service was good(i requested for approx 2-3 extra pillow and they did give me). Staffs were helpful. No breakfast but no problem since eateries all around. turn left after exiting from the hotel, will pass by a stairways downwards. walk down it, there's a not too bad Tze Char (eatery) restaurant in the the building on the left as you walk down the stairs. walk down the escalator to reach it.

The room was comfy, makes you unwilling to step out and my bed had 1 spoiled spring although that was not too much of a problem. compared to Miramar Hotel which is on the same street, this offers a more affordable budget at a excellent location. and it is possible to walk back to the hotel from temple street market, although a bus trip is just 1-2stops journey.

Unique Quality: Clean. replenishes your supply of coffee and tea bags for free, fast. its complementary moisturers etc were of quite good quality.

Our great experience hotel in Hong Kong

My friend Markus which is now my husband will visit and meet me first time in Hongkong (2000). That time I'm thingking which hotel is good for him. Because, I need to work on his first 2 days in Hongkong so i can see him only at night and show HKG after 2 days. I'd choose Kimberly hotel because is in the central of Tsimshatsui and where are the streets are lined with restaurant, shops, close to Nathan Road and walking distance to (Star ferry, Kowloon Park, Jade market, night market in Jordan, night market in Mong Kok, Old Clock Tower, Hk Space Museum, MTR ). His first day morning he went to Kowloon Park and he got his lunch at MC Donald which is not so far in Hotel. He liked the services of the hotel because is clean and the staff are friendly.

Unique Quality: Walking distance to ferry, MTR, shopping mall , local and international restaurant.

Good hotel in Kowloon

hm, well my stay was extremely pleasant. The Kimberley is in Kowloon, well located, close to shops, restaurants, nightlife, Mass Transit Railway, Star Ferry, etc.

The place looks good, service is very courteous and efficient, everyone helps you with a smile. I remember that I had to rush when leaving for the airport, and the doorman was most helpful about something I'd forgotten inside.

My room was small but very nice, absolutely quiet, air-condition/heating system well adjusted and silent. Large new marble-style bathrooms, hairdryer and products.

Unique Quality: I mostly enjoyed being right in the centre of things.

Oh, no... I mostly enjoyed having breakfast at the hotel. They give you an English newspaper and you have two, wonderfully appointed buffets: Cantonese and Western food. All delicious!
That was truly fantastic! Bacon, eggs any way you want them, breads of all kinds but especially, real toast and real Dundee marmelade! I died and went to heaven!
The coffee was the best too.
Of course, you eat and drink to your heart's content.

I am perfectly well aware of the fact that there ARE cheaper lodgings - but I´m beyond that age. Therefore, we stayed at the Kimberley Hotel in Kimberley Street. Right in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui, within walking distance to the piers.

4 Star in Kowloon

by yen_2 about Kimberley Hotel

This is located in the heart of the bustling Tsimshatsui area..Hongkong's vibrant district where it is right next to the Nathan Road! The hotel itself offers a superb location if you like to go near the Victoria Harbour but if you don't fancy walking around 10 minutes to get to the harbour, my first hotel tip is best's for you!

I noticed alot of tourist in this hotel because it's affordable and is okey for a 2 night stay of the place. When you get out of the hotel, there are plenty of night spot area. I guess, it's across the hotel, you can find night karaoke bars and anything you fancy for lasting the night out's. Another 10 minutres walk to the famous and classy shopping area, the Harbour City...oh.my...I love this place... The hotel is a 4 star, they have a nice Business Center, internet is good too..HK$30/30 minutes! they have 4 diffirent kinds of REstaurants and the room are very small but I guess, that's the standard type in HK..

Okay hotel in Hong Kong

by TripAdvisor Member Lets_go71

We spent three nights at the Kimberly Hotel in Hong Kong in August /06. We found this hotel just OK. The front staff were not overly friendly but they did there job. The rooms were for the most part a little shabbly. It really needed a new paint job and some TLC. The bathroom I think had been redone as it was clean and somewhat modern. Overall the room was small. The good thing about this hotel is it is in a good location, pretty much close to anything you would need. There is an airport bus stop just up the road. This was the most economical way of getting to the airport that we found. The view from the double decker bus was awesome. Hope this helps!

I have passed by Kimberley Hotel many times but never stayed there before. Good location as it is in the middle of Tsimshatshui. 5 min walk to MTR station. Very near Nathan Road,Grandville Road, well known shopping street in the area. Apparent signs of aging from stained windows on the pink exterior. Lobby seems huge and class. However, I have read reviews about the rooms being too small and old. Guess it would be ok as you will not be staying in the room most of the time. Most rooms in HK are generally small in size.

Location is excellent but rooms are old and small esp if you take the common class rooms. Badly need upgrading. If you don't mind walking 10 mins, I suggest taking Park Hotel or Empire Kowloon Hotel. Its abt 8-10mins walk from the train station. Rooms in Park Hotel are big by HK standards and they are newly renovated. Rooms in Empire Kowloon are only slightly bigger than Kimberly Hotel but newer. Hotel is also more peaceful as compared to Kimberly. Kimberly seems like a mad house at times esp during breakfast.
