Langham Place Hotel: Strategically Located
I'm totally satisfied with the service level provided by this 5 star hotel. From the time we stepped into the hotel, till the time we left, the service staff tried their very best to accommodate to all our needs.
When we arrived at the ground level, there was a staff who came to pick us up and afterwhich brought us to the lobby level on the 2nd floor. They even provided us with the rooms with minimal waiting time.
Unique Quality: The location of the hotel is a dream come true. Just next to Langham Place Hotel, and with the Mongkok MTR station just a stones-throw away, this hotel was indeed worth paying my money for.
The room was nicely decorated and everyhing from their in-house magazine to their notepads were all so nicely designed.
I love their outdoor pool too. Even in the midst of winter, the pool is nicely heated and the hotel also provides guests with nice big towels to dry yourself.

5 star Luxury at an affordable price
We were able to factor 3 nights staying here into our 2 weeks holiday in Hong Kong as we stayed the first 10 nights at a cheaper Hostel, so this was our swtich to end the trip with a bit of luxury .... and that we did!!!!
The Langham Place Hotel came highly recommended to us by friends. For Australian standards it represents quite good value for money for a high end 5 star luxury Hotel with absolutely all the trimmings. I think we paid $245 a night for 3 nights, including a buffet breakfast and Im not too sure you could get such great value for money anywhere in Sydney for that price!
Langham Place Hotel is located a few subway stops out from the main area of TST in Mongkok, not too sure how far it is in actual kilometres but certainly not very far on the subway or in a taxi. We certainly knew we'd upgraded when we checked out of the Hop Inn and into the Langham ..... it was just amazing!!!
We had booked an Essential Place Room which is the 2nd category of rooms, with all rooms located on the 23rd floor and above. This hotel has 42 floors with a rooftop pool also. Not many Hotels in Hong Kong actually have pools, only usually the more expensive ones, so that in itself was a bit of luxury, to escape the heat and humidity and slip into the pool.
We were also upgraded to an executive suite on checkin and our room was on the 32nd floor, so we were very very happy about that. Amazing views from our room, which had every mod-con you can imagine!!! Free use of an iphone, free internet on level 5, daily newspaper, bath and shower with 2 different shower heads, 3 phones in the room, coffee machine, HUGE comfortable bed, HUGE tv, free water, ice machine, inroom safe, bathrobe and slippers, tv speakers actually in the bathroom near the bath!!!!! We were really loving this place thats for sure ..... so this is how the other half live haha!

LPH also has direct footbridge access to the Langham Place Mall and also direct access to the Mongkok MTR stop, so you dont even have to venture out into the heat to get from your Hotel room to the MTR ..... brilliant!!!!!
Our stay also included daily buffet breakfast which was quite simply the nicest buffet breakfast I have ever encountered in my entire life!!!! If you eat enough for breakfast, then you only need a very light lunch or none at all!!!!
There was nothing negative to say about the Langham Place Hotel at all, apart from bad mobile phone reception in our room, but thats all.

An oasis in bustling Mongkok
The Langham Place Hotel in Mongkok (best location in Hong Kong in my opionion) is a Superior 5 star hotel with excellent facilities. It has been previously rated number 1 on Tripadvisor but since the opening of new hotels has slipped a little down the ratings scale which I can assure you is not at all indicative of a drop in service.
I stay at Langham Place every time I am in Hong Kong and think of it as my home away from home. Over many visits the hotel has consistently provided the highest levels of guest serivce and amenities, though the brand of amenities changes from time to time.
I have stayed in both suites and guest rooms. The rooms are quite compact but cleverly furnished for their size and the technology that is available is excellent. As I dont spend all day in the room the size is quite acceptable but keep in mind that space would be much more restricted with an extra fold out bed and loads of shopping bags in the room.
The roof top pool is a pleasant haven from the bustling streets below and if you find the traffic noise annoying just jump in the pool for some soothing underwater music. And for more relaxation there is also the upmarket and beautifully appointed Chuan Spa, a fantastically well equipped gym and an excellent Club Lounge.
There are many beautifully appointed hotels in Hong Kong but for me the level of guest service provided by the Langham Place Hotel is what makes it stand out from the rest.
Unique Quality: Roof top pool, fabulous restaurants and adjacent shopping mall with MTR access. Location in the heart of bustling Mongkok is fabulous. Walk out the door and you will find yourself right in the heart of local Hong Kong.

Great Hotel
We stayed at the Langham Place Hotel in October 2009 and were really pleased we choose this hotel. We were worried before our stay that it wasn't in the main drag but its proximity to the mtr made it a perfect choice.
The staff were very helpful with tourist information and nothing was too much trouble. We had two of our grandchildren with us and they loved the swimming pool and swam at least twice a day. The attendants were very friendly and were always present.
The rooms were very clean and well presented with all the mod cons and had a nice bathroom.
The Buffet breakfast and dinner at the hotel was excellent and we ate there a number of times with the kids.
Would certainly stay there again if ever in Hong Kong.
Unique Quality: The hotel is part of a huge shopping centre and everything is at your doorstep. It was very handy in the evening after a busy day to just go to the restaurants in the complex.

Highly recommend
Excellent hotel. Plenty of dining options, direct walkway link to shopping centre, and staff were falling over themselves to be helpful.
Very good location for shops and a 30min easy walk down to the harbour for ferries and sightseeing. Will definitely try and get a room if/when I return to Hong Kong
Unique Quality: Must admit the glass wall in the bathroom was 'unique'

Great Stay
Had 5 nights at the Langham Place in November on the way home from 3 weeks in China, and cannot rate it highly enough. The location is great with an underground station adjoining, more shops, markets, interesting
back streets etc.
The Hotel Staff were excellent, rooms great, views good. Hard to fault. I booked direct on the web and enjoyed an excellent rate. It rates with the best.!!!

Mongkok's pearl
I stayed at the Langham Place Hotel in November 2007. This hotel was fantastic. It was located in Mongkok, which is a great location because it is not a touristy area. I scored a deal for a suite and could not have been more pleased. The residence suite that I had was located on the 38th floor, had a separate bedroom, a living room and a kitchen. Staying in a suite also came with additional perks such as access to Club L. You don't have to get a suite to gain access to the club. You can check out on their website which rooms give access to Club L. Club L had complimentary breakfast, complimentary cocktails, free computer access and your own concierge staff. Nonetheless, the service at this hotel is spectacular. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel is near several markets, close to the Mongkok MTR and connected to the Langham Place Mall.

Superb Hong Kong Hotel
Spent four nights in this superb hotel and enjoyed every minute. Contrary to the experience of your New York correspondent, we found the staff most helpful, friendly and courteous. When I used the computer area, I never found a computer out of order and there was a small pad and pencil beside each unit. The bedroom was small but what do you expect in Hong Kong? It was scrupulously clean and the huge bed was luxurious. (If I could find one fault, it was that the bed took up most of the room space!!!!). Although we were on the 26th floor, the view wasn't up to much because of an even higher skyscraper beside us! Anyway we only used the room to sleep in so who needs a view?? The Hong Kong subway can be accessed from the hotel lobby through the shopping plaza which is attached to the hotel. This was very useful coming back at night because it avoided the necessity to go out on the street. (Hong Kong subways have so many exits, so far apart, that if you don't watch the signs carefully you can exit several streets away from your destination). The gymnasium, pool and health centre on the rooftop was a gem. I couldn't wait every morning for an hour up there. We didn't try the restaurants so I can't comment but the other guests seemed to be enjoying their meals any time I passed through the bar above the hotel lobby. All in all, this hotel more than lived up to the views expressed by the majority of your correspondents
Unique Quality: The rooftop pool with its superb views of Hong Kong was awesome.

Mongkok Langham
The hotel was very new when we made use of their accommodation. Due to this we were able to get a fairly good rate that allowed the "Less expensive than average" tick. I think we may have even gotten a group discount as well, there wasa about 10 of us in total.
The location was quite good, close to some street shopping areas and attached to a shopping complex, which made it easy to get a cup of tea on those cold days

Sweet Luxury
This is a great hotel in Kowloon. Less then a year old with a nice staff and great location. Very clean, hi-tech and contemporary. The food is good - great buffets. Loved the sculptures and art work throughout. First class business lounge. Attached to a big shopping mall with several stores, restaurants, and a subway station.
Unique Quality: Rooms have internet connection, big plasma TV and DVD player (DVD loaners are available from the business center) and a cell phone for use within the hotel. The bathrooms are great - wonderful hot showers and a big bathtub with a glass wall for TV viewing while you're enjoying a bath. But the best feature was the bed. Actually called the "Blissful Bed". A big bed with a 10" thick mattress, soft comforter, and enough pillows to get lost in. The only place I would stay in Hong Kong!

CLUB L at Langham Place Hotel
On reading about Club L at the Langham Place Hotel Mongkok Hong Kong, are what they supply (drinks and snacka) complimentary, and is it worth the extra room cost??
Re: CLUB L at Langham Place Hotel
I love Langham Place - it is an outstanding hotel in every way. Club L offers guests snacks and drinks (I believe it includes softdrinks and selected alcholic drinks) as part of the Club L package.
The problem is; there is so much to do and see in Hong Kong, you will probably have to schedule in a trip back to your hotel each day to make use of the snacks and drinks you have actually paid for in your Club L package.
Although, if you like to take a break for a couple of hours each day at different intervals then it's probably not a bad idea, it's a good way to have a rest, eat before you head back out.
If I were you, I would probably pay for daily breakfast and a regular room rather than the Club L package. Howvever, if you are sure that you will utalise the benefits of the Club L package - then go for it!
