nice hotel bad location
very nice hotel, great rooms with outstanding views but the location is not the best for tourist.

A little far- but worth it!!
I was surprised at how far away the Hotel was- but as soon as I stepped into the modern lobby my fears began to melt away. Gorgeous room with view of the ocean- nice pool facilities plus not too busy since away from the city. Since I was on vacation it was exactly what I wanted. Very nice staff and shuttle service into town every hour or so. I actually always took a cab downtown which I think cost about $15- if you go over the mountain.
Unique Quality: Great pool, I was in HongKong city most of the time so I didn't get to eat in the restaurant or swim much- but room service was good and very kind. I did get a deal online- I'm not sure about regular prices of this hotel...

Hi-Tech Hotel
This hotel is probably not for the casual traveler, it is expensive but has all the amenities for the business traveler. A hotel where technology and art are well balanced.
Unique Quality: Wireless communications, either broadband internet in your room or from AP's and my PDA. Every room has a wireless phone, only slightly larger than a cell phone that is active anywhere on the Cyberport campus. The number rings as your hotel room number. Every room has a 42" plasma wall mounted with I/O for any type video signal.
Large window walls in your room allow a great view of the Aberdeen area and harbor.
Restaurants and cafes on the campus provide great food and other diversions, A shopping area, The Arcade is in the Cyberport complex.

Le Meridien Cyberport Hotel
I am visiting Hong Kong in October and was thinking of staying at the new Le Meridien Cyberport Hotel. Has anyone stayed there before, if so, what did you think of it as I can't find any reviews of the hotel.

If you don't mind to be a bit inconvenient, it may be a good choice in terms of its environment. The hotel is indeed within the cyberport and is supported by the only few restaurants there, a cinema and a supermarket. Other than that, there is nothing. There are some connecting shuttles going to Western District and Quarry Bay. Unless you use taxi as your way of transportation, otherwise I regard it as an inconvenience hotel.
