Marco Polo Gateway
The Marco Polo Gateway is a very nice hotel in Kowloon with convenient access to the Kowloon nightlife, Kowloon Park, the Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island, the Macau Ferry, and the Hong Kong Subway system. Though somewhat expensive at around US$100 a night, you get a high quality hotel with friendly staff, concierge, and a nice location in a major shopping center with several good restaurants on premises and right out the front door.

Unique Quality: Good value, stunning views over the harbour if you get the right side. Spacious rooms with good facilities.
Just a few minutes walk to the Star Ferry, the most civilised (and inexpensive) way to get to the Island!

Marco Polo Hotel in Kowloon
This hotel was part of our holiday package...it is a nice hotel but our 'view' wasn't much...a brick wall of the next hotel...haha!
However, the room was comfortable, clean and had air conditioning...that's all that mattered to us...

Just got my travel docs & checked location of hotel online. Is this really as far away from everything as it looks??? 1 hour drive to Victoria peak? 45 min to Nathan Rd?? Not knowing the area, let me know if this is REALLY as far away as it "sounds" pleeeeeze

I think it should say 4-5 minutes from Nathan Rd.
This hotel is right nest to the Star Ferry terminal in Tsimshatsui. Excellent location

You can take the MTR to Victoria Peak in 10-15 minutes.

I was lucky enough to have been put up here once by my company- I was even upgraded and all I can says is WOW! As said, it is very convenient for Nathan Road, being right next to the China Ferry Terminal and Canton/Peking Roads. However, I would be interested to see the new MTR station at Victoria Peak! Last year, the nearest was Admiralty Station, where you would get out and take the Peak Tram, or Central Station where you would get out and take a bus.
Nicer though, is to walk down Canton Road, or through the Ocean Terminal shopping mall that the hotel is connected to, down to the Star Ferry Terminal at the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront and catch the justly famous Star Ferry accross. The bus to the peak can be caught just outside the Central ferry terminal at Queen's Pier, or you can walk through the overpass system to the Peak Tram mentioned before.

There is no MTR station at the Victoria Peak. You need to take either the peak tram or bus up to the peak.

Sorry I meant to the tram start. I thought everyone took the tram up as part of the experience.
