Cheap but clean inn/guesthouse in Kowloon District
Hi. Im from the Philippines and me and my friends are going to Hong Kong this July 2009 and are looking for an affordable place to stay. Some place with basis needs (e.g. cable tv, aircon). Should have know or have stayed in one, please let me know.

There are hundreds of hotels in the area. My only experience was at Kings Hotel, with a room for about $60 USD. If that is in your budget, check my Kowloon page for details.

I also stayed at Dragon Hostel after much research prior to my visit. I certainly have no regrets. Space is at a premuim in HK so if a spacious room is what you want expect to pay big dollars.

I'm also from the Phils and I found it best to book a package tour to HK. Anyway, here are the hotels I stayed at http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/7f095/5d6/3/.
They are all moderately priced and conveniently-located - near MTR or the subway, except for Panda hotel.

we're down to two choices: Ah Shan Hostel or Dragon Hostel. Which do you recommend most? Thanks! =)

Definatly not Ah Shan, man was really rude. Have stayed at Dragon beofre but last time stayed at New hong kong hostel in Tim Sha su in Chung king mansion, room was small but nicem, clean internet, tv, shower etc
I am having trouble finsing something similar in manila...any ideas?

How much is your budget for Manila? There are some guest houses in Manila and Makati.

well i better choose Dragon Hostel. The people is very friendly. They willy to help. Trust me. I been stayed there twice ( 2006 and 2008)
