Travel Tips for Hong Kong

Getting a Visa

by JaneCajuguiran

China means mainland China. HK and Macau, though part of the Chinese territories, have their own rulings. So, you probably don't have to worry about securing a visa for HK but you will need one to visit Shenzhen. Might I suggest that if you're going to Shenzhen to shop, it might be better to go to Zhuhai instead because I believe that the prices there are lower. Plus they have a lower visa fee for visitors staying less than 15 days. Check out my blog at http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Get-a--Zhuhai-China-Visa-for-Only-14-HKD.

Places for children

by Quinevere

Apart from Ocean Park, you can go to Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, Hong Kong Park ( greenhouse, aviary, pools, fountains), Victoria Peak Garden and Kowloon Park (children's playground with a maze, gardens, games hall, aviary, turtle and fish pool); there's a place called Tai Tong Lai Chi Hill Garden in Yuen Long where you can enjoy horse riding and barbecue. There's an ostrich farm and a waterfall. And don't forget to shop at the largest toy store in HK, Toys 'R' Us in Ocean Terminal!

Best Time to Visit Disneyland?

by Aidy_p

We visited Disneyland in December and for the very reason of not wanting to be baked red under the sun. You see, my family and I don't like to play and perspire. The winter breeze ensured that we maintained our cool.

The temperature was a cool 15 degrees and we enjoyed the weather thoroughly. Just a simple sweater or a pullover will do.

Avenue Star

by yatingchen

Hong Kong is Asian/Chinese Holly Wood. Taking concept from China Cinema in Los Angel, Hong Kong's avenue star also shows prints of stars' hands/feet and the open-air gallery is along the busy sea.

Avenue star is not only for fans, but also for tourists to see beautiful Hong Kong city scenery.
