Near everything

A very nice hotel but hidden away from the road so hard to find as it is up an alley. The checkin was fast and the staff was excellent. View was so so out the window and the room was tiny. Went up the the resturant at the top and the view was excellent as it was sunset. Shopping was moments walk as well.

Unique Quality: I would say the area is interesting with the Sogo mall and shopping that surrounds the hotel. A very good Italian resturant on the corner just down the alleyway.

Reasonable Hotel in a Good Location

As you enter on one of the side streets, you take either the escalator or elevator to the 1st Floor lobby which is quite nice. (See pics) I had booked through the internet and when I checked in, was told of a promotion where I could upgrade my room and get inroom broadband internet access by paying slightly more. The price was reasonable so I choose to upgrade so that I could work from my room, rather than to use the business centre, where internet access was charged by the 1/2 hour. The staff at the reception counter were helpful and spoke rather good English.

The room itself was rather small (see pics), but with adequate space for my laptop and storage space for my luggage and extra shopping. The upgraded room came with some complimentary welcome softdrinks and a can of beer.

Unique Quality: Very good location, with proximity to Trams, a 5 minute walk to the Causeway Bay MRT, sweeping views of the HongKong harbour, Victoria Park and upmarket residential Happy Valley area (See pics). The view at night was quite pretty, although the nearby apartment blocks were a bit run-down.

The hotel is served by a airport link coach. However, if you don't have much luggage, it would be cheaper to walk out to catch the regular Airport buses. I took a taxi (at HK$40-48)to the Airport Express Central Station and caught the airport express (train) from there, which was very convenient. Breakfast was not too bad with reasonable variety.

Close to the shopping district of Causeway Bay which is open at all hours, including late into the night.
