lovely lantau
myself , my parents and hubby were on our way to Australia last october 06, and stopped for a day and a half either side of our flights, arrived on lantau island and stayed at silvermine beach hotel, which was nice, serene and peaceful, what you need after all that travelling and airport nonsense, on our way home, decided we hadn't seen anything of the island and caught a taxi (very lazy i know) up to the cable car, can't remember the proper name ning pong or something, apparently only finished july 2006, whilst walking around we realised the Buddha and Monastry were there as well, and had a fantastic day, chilling but also felt like we had actually done quite a lot in one day, it was just brilliant, not that i am religous or anything but it was what it was all about and HK, culture and lifestyle for that particular region, i loved it peaceful, serene despite being loads of people, tourists like us!
