A nice retreat, from the crowds...

The Emperor (Happy Valley) Hotel captures the romantic essence of Hong Kong to make your stay a truly memorable experience. In a peaceful corner of Happy Valley on Hong Kong Island, secluded from the crowds, The hotel can be found in one of Hong Kong's premier residential areas. Yet it is located only minutes away from shopping, dining and entertainment, as well as the Mass Transit Railway, Hong Kong's underground.

Unique Quality: Some (only some) of the rooms have decent bath tubs, with working shower heads. Besides that, the rooms are really nice. The higher floors have nicer views. A room costs HK$350 (US$45)/night (airline industrial discount), plus 13% taxes (end of summer is considered a low season). I think I got upgraded to a deluxe room, not a standard one.

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
