This was a nice hotel. Friendly staff, room cleaned, towels changed each day. Very clean. Very close to convention center. A taxi stand outside, a block walk to Immigration Building and bus stop, or from Immigration Building/Central Plaza use walkway down O'brien Road to get to Wan Chai MTR station. Also Laguna and Cintas nightclubs 2 blocks down Fenwick street. There was a sign saying no guests after midnight.
Unique Quality: I loved the breakfast buffet served 7:15-10:30am each morning. Eggs, bacon, chicken sausage, pancakes, rice, fruits etc. etc.
Opinion of Price: less expensive than average

Harbourview International Hotel
If u've plan to go to attend cultural events in Hong Kong....I want to recommend this hotel...This hotel's small but clean and relatively inexpensive accommodations near the Wanchai Star Ferry pier. I choosed to stay at Harbourview International Hotel while I went to see David Bowie's Concert in HK.It's very near Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Venue) and near Wanchai MTR station.
Opinion of Price: about average

a New Hotel

Thanks again to all who answered my last posting. New question?? Has anyone ever heard of Stanley Harborview Hotel anywhere near Hong Kong?? Travel agent suggested it as an alternative to Marco Polo Prince. I can find no reference on the web. A web address or info would be helpful. Thanks again.

Am wondering the one that you are mentioning should be the Grand Stanford Harbour View Hotel, which is also in Tsim Sha Tsui area, in the eastern part of it, while the Macro Polo Prince is situated on top of Harbour city, which is closed to Star Ferry.

Jolaz is probably right, but the hotel has renamed Intercontinental Grand Stanford. It is in 70 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East. However, it is in the process of renovating. Their website: http://www.hongkong.intercontinental.com/

Thanks for your postings. I don't think any of these are what the agent was referring to, however, I frankly think the agent didn't know what they were talking about. I place more trust in the VTers who comment here! Thanks again. I think I'll stick with the Marco Polo Prince. Any comments??
