This hotel is located directly between Yau Ma Tei and Jordan MTR subway stations, about 5 blocks in either direction. Use the Jordan MTR station exit as it puts you on the right side of Nathan Road.
I stayed here several years ago and still recommend it to tourists seeking available options on the Kowloon side. The service is consistently good and with 468 rooms there's usually a vacancy.

Once again I find myself recommending a hotel because of its proximity to one of Hong Kong's most popular shopping destinations.
Whereas the Stanford Hotel is next to Ladies Market, Eaton is one of the nicest hotels located close to the Temple Street Night Market. The reason I recommend Eaton's location is because you can start from Nanking Street and walk north on Temple Street all the way to the end of the Night Market and then simply cross over right there on Kansu Street and walk east back to your hotel.

Eaton Hotel Hong Kong: Eaton Hotel is a great place in Hong Kong

  • We stayed for 9 nights at the Eaton in Oct. 2004. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff were.
Our room, while not large, never felt cramped or uncomfortable. We had room to put things away and for our suitcases. We slept well all 9 nights. There is a hook-up for a laptop, and free internet in the cafe downstairs on 5 (or was it 6?) computers. There is a safe in the room, but we never had our things touched during our stay. The bathroom was beautifully tiled in marble. Loads of feather pillows, a minibar in case you're desperate, tea set-ups for the morning, fresh fruit in the room, newspapers on the floor daily, toothbrushes, shaving kits, emery boards, sewing kits plus the usual shampoos and lotions, a hairdryer and an iron are in the room. There was a small sofa, a desk, a TV armoire with drawers and another small chest with drawers. Great views from the 18th floor, and we didn't stay in the 'Eaton Club' which has the big floor to ceiling windows and a much higher price.
The pool is on the roof, a lovely sitting area looks out onto it, and a good weight and equipment room is right there, with showers.
The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.
The location is ideal. A short 5 minute walk to the Jordan MTR station, 1 block from the Temple St. Night Market, 2 blocks from the Jade Market, and short walks to both the Ladies Market and Bird Market. One MTR stop to the really touristy area of Tsim Sha Tsui. I liked the more authentic area of the Eaton Hotel, though you're still on Nathan Road with all the shops. Yue Hwa Dept. Store, the real Chinese one, is one block away. A Starbucks is opening up in Nov. 2004 right across the street from the Eaton, so you know it's a good location for tourists.
The restaurants at the Eaton are good, and offer just about anything you want. We had breakfast nearly everyday in the Cafe down the steps from Nathan Road, on the Lower Ground level. Terrific lattes there, and good croissants, and a nice light lunch selection too.

Rooftop pool. It's small, but so are most things in Hong Kong!
Weight/exercise machine room next to pool, with showers and changing rooms.
A number of restaurants from a cafe to a coffee shop, bar and traditional Chinese restaurant.
    Terrific location.
    Exceptional staff.

  • Directions: Between Jordan and Yau Ma Tei MTR stops, but on the same side of Nathan Road as Jordan, so it's an easier walk. About 4 blocks, or a 5 minute walk to Jordan. Take a van shuttle service from the airport.
