Convenient Location
Easily access, from Kowloon station after hoping off from the Airport express train you can hop into the free shuttle bus and direct to the hotel. After checking other hotels I’ve decided to stay at this Hotel after reading much feedback from other travelers. Room was spacious enough for two people, what to ask for as this is Hong Kong. Staffs are friendly and were very helpful throughout my stays. Although some of the fixtures have started to run out but everything is still perfectly maintain. Breakfast is standard western plus some local Hong Kong delicacies. Located strategically, easy access to MTR and shopping district. Even is you are looking for mid-night supper, local snacks or Cha Chang Teng (local coffee shop) are available just around the corner. Or you can hop into the nearby 7-11, which is just opposite the hotel as well. The bad thing is that during night time, Africans would be loitering around the area, and some Indian or Arabic would try to hustle their way to you in asking you to buy something from them. Would defiinitelly stay there again.

Old but Center of Tsim Sha Tsui!
A very old picture of Me at Golden Mile Holiday Inn.
Location, location, LOCATION! The Holiday Inn Golden Mile Has the LOCATION! it is located in the center of Tsim Tsa Tsui and Nathan Road (off course location also means expense! so price of stay here may cost you an arm! since Prices start at US $ 280 and up for a twin bed) and Ocean Terminal, Avenue of Stars, Peninsula, Star Ferry, Science Museum, TST East, Kowloon Park, MTR (just in front of it!) are all withing walking distance!
Unique Quality: it has 549 rooms again with all the basics like cable tv, hot shower, mini bar (and a mini ref!), complimentary fruit basket and the works that makes you want to stay the whole day (but don't do that since Hong Kong is for Shopping!)
Opinion of Price: more expensive than average

Holiday inn At Nathan Road
Before Going to Hong Kong, I have checked so many hotels. We have decided to stay at Kowloon area, so I was concentrated about the hotels in this area..
Through my search I have found three hotels to decide between. Kowloon Hotel, Holiday Inn Hotel and ..
I first booked at Kowllon hotel, however I ahve read so many articles indicating the rooms are small in kowloon hotel. So at the last day we have changed to Holiday inn Hotel.
The hotel is in a very good location. The rooms are quiet big and satisfactory. There is a LAN connection for PC, however charges are relatively high. The beds are big and confortable.
The hotel has a very nice restaurant and a very popular bar, Called Hari's bar. The hotel has a swimming pool at the top floor.
Due to Hotels central location its easy to travel everywhere within the city..The MTR station is just 15 meters.

The Holiday Inn Golden Mile is nestled in the very heart of Kowloon's bustling city centre. Centrally located in the commercial business and entertainment district of Tsim Sha Tsui also within the main shopping area of Kowloon. The Holiday Inn Golden Mile hotel is only a two minute walk from the MTR (Hong Kong's underground Mass Transit Railway).
I love staying here as it's super convenient and it's steps away from all my favourite shops!
Holiday Inn, Golden Mile
by gaolei about Holiday Inn, Golden Mile
$100 to $150 USD per night. Use the web or your travel agent to get the lowest price. Everything you expect in a first class Holiday Inn. It is right in the middle of the bussiest shopping area in the world.
Across the street is the travel office for China. If you need a China visa, this is a great place to stay and wait for the visa.
In the middle of the Action
by Linda_T about Holiday Inn Golden Mile
This Hotel is in a great spot. Walk out the front doors and you are in the middle of Nathan Road, restaurants and shops galore. The MTR station is right there and it's only a short 10 min stroll to the Star Ferry terminal.
close to everything
by sirgaw about Holiday Inn Golden Mile
Well-known brand - Holiday Inn Golden Mile - has a great setting on busy Natham Road, Kowloon, and surrounded by, it seems, too many shops. Favoured position right beside the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR (rapid transit railway) station.
The hotel has 17 floors and 2 basements. The basements contain a number of high end shops and eateries. The ground floor is a sea of marble flooring and walls with the usual reception and check in areas and a guest lounge. Small parking area is at rear where there is adequate bus and taxi waiting/unloading areas.
Main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner is on first floor and overlooks Natham Road.
Upper floors are executive rooms and the business centre with roof top swimming pool and small gynamsium.
Good Hotel on the "Golden Mile"
by iblatt about Holiday Inn Golden Mile
When we made our reservation in the Holiday Inn Golden Mile we were attracted by the very central location of this hotel, and the assumption that this was a "sure bet" because the hotel is part of the Hiliday Inn chain.
Transportation from the airport to the hotel was very easy: we took the MTR Airport Express to Kowloon station, where we were immediately ushered into the free "K3" hotel bus-shuttle to the hotel entrance. The whole journey took 40 minutes.
The hotel is located right on Nathan Road, in the so-called "Golden Mile", a very convenient location, within minutes' walking distance to the Avenue of Stars, museums, Star Ferry, Kowloon Park and the main shopping district of Kowloon. The Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is immediately near the hotel, with excellent connection to all parts of Honh Kong.
Our room (on the 10th floor) was good and convenient. We heard some noise from the hotel air-conditioning system, but it was not loud. Although Nathan Road is always very busy, we did not hear any street noise. The service at the front desk and by the concierge was very good.
Good Location
by jacsilversurfer about Holiday Inn Golden Mile
This hotel provides a good location to explore Hong Kong. It is close to the ferry and outside, are the steps to the underground so that you can be in central in a matter of minutes. There is a chinese Dept store over the road for buying gifts and silk blouses. There is also a branch of Lane Crawford up the hill. The cheaper rooms are clean and security is good. There is also acces to good onsite restaurants. It is expensive and popular so its viable if you can get a package. Otherwise The Salsbury down the road is an option[good YMCA] Convenience and good food!

Re: Royal Plaza or Holiday Inn Golden Mile?
by kendra151
After much research , I have finally managed to narrow my choice of hotels to 2:- Holiday Inn and Royal Plaza.Which would be better travelling with young children?
The plus point for Holiday Inn is that, the MTR is just outside whereas it's quite a way to walk to the MTR in Royal Plaza, whereas there's a shopping mall attached to RP for groceries and shopping so there's no worries if the kids ar tired and want to nap while mummy does her shopping ,but there's no mall near the Holiday Inn?
Can anyone help me out in my dilemma here?
