Palatial Accomodation
by NigelJ about Sariska Palace
A truly majestic hotel. From entering the grounds of this hotel, you know you're in for a treat. Everything about this hotel is grand; the driveway, the steps leading up to reception, the entrance lobby, and the bedrooms.
It gave a feeling of going back to colonial times. The rooms in the front annexe were luxorious, but the rear annexe seemed to in a state of disrepair, being overrun by monkeys! In the miidle of the countryside, a true Palace!

Hi
Been to Sariska, before all the tigers scam was out. Saw lots of deers and came out.
The Sariska Palace looks OK, but I found Neemrana really beautiful.
You can do a day trip to Sariska from neemrana.
Happy travelling.

Hi,
Welcome to VT!
Sariska used to be a great national park but it is no more intresting now (no more tigers)... if planning to go for a national park i would suggest Ranthambore (Sawai Madhopur) which is 3-4 hours drive from Jaipur and is very intersting with maximum chances of tiger spotting... a lot of accommodation options... The best National Park in Rajasthan.
You should choose Sariska only if you have some work close by in Alwar etc... Taking a journey more for than 3 hours is not worth at Sariska.
Although Sariska Palace has some charm, but don't expect a great wildlife there.
Hope this helps

Sariska Palace is a decent property no doubt about that. What I can suggest to you would another one called Lake Palace at Siliset (Siliseh). Its close and is sitting right on the lake. It an old Palace converted into a Hotel managed by Govt's RTDC. The original rooms are fantastic with stone beds.
