Charming Accomodation in Anjuna

Immediately when the taxi stopped in front of Hotel Bougainvillea and we went in, we felt at home. The house itself is a renovated heritage house from the Portuguese colonial period. The landlord is friendly, and is ready to help with advice and all kinds of arrangements (transportation, tours). The location is not so close to the beach, but a 5 minute taxi ride will bring you to the beach and the market. There are also buses right outside the gate, going to the village center and to the beach.

The rooms are comfortable, and the house is surrounded by a carefully-tended large garden. The meals are served in the front garden, in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere.
There is a fair-sized swimming pool which is kept very clean and tidy.

The hotel also boasts a yoga center: we did not participate in the classes, but seeing the yoga students doing their exercises added something to the relaxed atmosphere.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in Hotel Bougainvillea and would gladly return there (like some of the other guests we met).
