the ambassador hotel mumbai: very mediocre

The hotel and its facilities seem to be exaggerated.
The lobby is just so so.
Passages are carpeted and smell musty and. Room had no view except the window of the opposite residential building!!
aircon is effective and good. toilets and room are just about average for the price.
food is a dissapointment. tried the revolving restaurant....the view of the marine drive would have been good if not for the humidity on the glass windows.
tried the 'society restaurant' the next day. place had just 2 other tables occupied. supposed to have live music....the grand piano was as lone as a tree in a desert! and no one to play it.
food was just about average.

none

Hotel Ambassador: Excellent accommodation at reasonable price!

Bombay has many hotels - luxury as well as budget ones. But if want to have a comfortable stay in Bombay at a reasonable price then I would definitely suggest the Ambassador hotel to you. The location of the hotel is very nice, in the heart of South Bombay, and then service is good enough. The hotel has more than 100 rooms with different price tags and is very clean and efficient.
The hotel has a restaurant offering varieties of cuisines from different parts of Asia, a coffee-shop and an Indian cuisine reataurant. You can also get a banquet facility here.
They will even offer you pick-up and transfer from and to the airport on extra payment.

The best part of staying in Ambassador is its Oriental cuisine restaurant, The Pearl Of The Orient. It is probably the only revolving restaurant in Bombay with a great view of the Arabian Ocean. The restaurant offers sumptuous Chinese, Thai and Korean delicacies.

Hotel Ambassador: Good location, great panorama

A medium sized 4-star hotel just off the Marine Drive, in the southern part of the city (close to the Fort and Colaba area).
It's quite modern and elegant with a nice reception area and decorative lobby.

A revolving restaurant, The Pearl of the Orient on the top.
Good location: close to the main sights and the Churchgate railway station.
