CANDOLIM GOA
"CANDOLIM ON THE BEACH"
This is a nice little village near the beach, The beach is quite a peaceful beach... nice just to lie and relax in the sun here, summer time it can get really hot so come well prepared with suntan lotion!! There are lots of restaurants, bars and places to stay. The village of Candolim seems to be sort of spread out... does not seem to have a village centre as such.
I quite enjoyed my stay here, quite a friendly atmosphere amongst the tourists on the beach, many ppl had children and even they seemed to be having fun! ( even the dogs here in the pic seem to be catching a tan...)
"CANDOLIM"
The River princess that got Stuck here, and she is still here...strange but standing here watching this princess kinda did something to me, was like she captured a part of my heart...cant explain it, I was kinda sad that she was not still sailing the waters........But I heard that they are going to remove her so quite glad I could still capture this pic.
One thing I did notice was that book shops were much much cheaper than at home, so if you love books, dont forget to check out the book shops. Most books in India have a standard price, so they dont charge extra for tourists, Childrens books are terribly cheap. And dont forget the recipe books to make all those foods you taste in India.
"BEACH SHACK CANDOLIM"
Accom in Candolim did seem a little more expensive than some of the other places,But I enjoyed my stay here so did not mind paying a bit more..., I think it is a bit quieter than Calangute, seemed to have more older ppl than at Calangute.. maybe it was just cause I was in off season...
If I visit Goa again Candolim will def be on my list of places to visit.
