I visited a website and noticed that Bambolim Beach Resort has grown and has more facilities than it used to 12 years ago. I'm not surprised ;) Therefore the accurate information here is from the website. What I can say, that judging from the pictures the place is still as charming :) I could go back ---isn't that the best kind of recommendation?
Bambolim Beach Resort started in 1989 as a 57 room resort set in six cottage blocks with rooms done up in a rustic style. Now expanded to 126 rooms with the addition of the new 69 rooms main block with highly polished Granite flooring and all the modern fittings in 1996. Fully Air-conditioned. The resort is situated right on the beach front.
Centrally located in Goa, Bambolim makes an ideal base for those wishing to travel around Goa, isolated and quiet, and yet just 7 kms from Panjim adn close to the main sightseeing places in Goa, the Resort makes a nice home to come back to.
Rooms are in 4 different price categories and from Oct 2003 to May 2004 the prices seem to vary from Rs 1800 - 2160. They also have 3 nights 4 days packages.
The hotel has a swimming pool, health club, gymnasium, ayurvedic massage, indoor/outdoor games and snooker. All rooms are airconditioned and equipped with a bathroom. Excellent value for money, clean rooms, linen and towels changed daily. Very friendly and helpful staff. Stay in the new annexe part, better rooms and away from the noise of the nightly entertainment from around the lake area or the restuarant.
Previously the hotel had been a haven for birds, now they are not as easy to find, you need to get out and about to find the various species found in Goa.
A pleasant stay however the area is now far too touristy for us, but the best hotel in the area, great views, spacious grounds and rooms and pleasing swimming pools.Food is fine with varying menus, however J & A's just down the road is fantastic! fairly expensive by Goan standards but lovely! A fridge is extremely handy to keep your beer and your bottled water cold.
Also keep your sun cream and After Sun Lotion in the fridge.
If there is an ice box, put a few glasses or tumblers in there to frost them up and give your beer an extra cool edge Theme: Other

A gorgeous boutique hotel tucked away behind the Calangute/Arpora Road. It only has 13 suites, all with antique Indian furniture, situated around a refreshing pool. Incredibly quiet, tranquil place.... Always make use of a safety deposit box at your accommodation. Some accommodations, like the Seaview Cottages , Baga, provide free safety deposit boxes, you just need to provide the pad lock.
Other hotels you can hire them at a small charge. You can feel a lot more relaxed if you know your cash, valuables, passports and travel documents are safe.
We stopped somewhere and there was a couple of room thefts. It turned out that it was another tourist and not the room boys ( they know better than to steal from rooms, its their lively hood that they would lose!)
The hotel operated a relaxed reception and you could lean over the counter and grab any room key you fancied. Look out for room key security as well. Theme: Other
