A place to stay in Varca Beach

This is a two-star hotel in Varca Beach. It's close to the sea, just a 5-minute walk, the sea is cery clean, the beach is deserted. But if you are looking for more fun and a busier area, this is not the place for you. There are three shacks in the beach, where you can have lunch or dinner. Breakfast is provided by the hotel (tea or instant coffee and toasts and buns with jam). If you want something extra for your breakfast, like fried or boiled eggs, you'll have to pay.

Unique Quality: The place has a pool. There is a shower, toilet, ceiling fan and balcony in every room. Some rooms even have two balconies. Rooms with an air conditioner are a little more expensive than those without one. There are water heaters, but most of them don't work. However, don't get mad about it. It can happen in any other hotel. Anyway, even cold water is warm enough to have a shower, it's even pleasantly refreshing :))

I paid for the first day for a room with an air conditioner (1,300 rupees - USD 30), but it turned out it was out of order. After I spent a night there, I realized I didn't need the air conditioner, so I explained the situation at the reception, and they returned me the extra 200 rupees for the broken air conditioner and I paid 1,100 rupees (USD 25.5) per night for the rest of my stay and stayed in the same room.

Bicycle

by tashka

Bicycles for hire are generally available in Goa. I guess we paid too much, but we hired bicycles from a place near our hotel (Colonia Jose Menino, Varca Beach), and there was little choice there. We paid 150 rupees (USD 3.5) for two bicycles for one day.

Riding a bicycle is easy in Goa, as most of it is a plain. Just remember about the left-hand traffic and keep to the left side of the road. Or you can ride the bicycle along the beach on the wet sand.
