Not the best hotel in Goa (for the price charged)

Hotel Goan Heritage : Review

Outside: ok lots of space,
connected to the beach(though this closes at 8pm opens at 6am) The closing time should be atleast 10pm or so.
The pool is ok, clean, size is pretty ok not too big but ok. One dampener is that it closes at 6PM. The time should be atleast 8PM. They should realise that people come here for holiday and even if the lifeguard leaves at 6, different arrangements should be made.

Reception: Clean, front desk staff was helpful, though i dint get a sea facing room as requested, but the pool facing was ok.

Rooms: now here i got a couple of disappointments. Size considerably small, Bathroom fairly small, not very well ventilated. The stench doesn’t get out of the bathroom, even after hours of non operation. No hand towels, no face towels, no temp slippers. Bed was also not very comfy but just ok to spend the night. For a price of 3.9K not worth it at all. The quality is, what one would accept form a room that is priced about 2-2.5K. But they are charging for the location and the proximity to the beach.

Things that i dint like
Window ac's instead of central aircon, window aircon was very noisy. The hotel is not very well maintained. eg the lamp shade was broken, but was fixed using a selant (m-seal).
There are no hair dryers in the bathrooms.
And get this they have been very considerate in providing safes in the rooms but if u want to use them they charge 40 per day. For a $100 hotel and they cant even give access to the room safe.
There are very frequent power cuts and sometimes they dont even switch on the aircon on the genset???
The breakfast was horrible. Only the juices were good. I used to have just a couple of slices of bread and a little juice. Breakfast timings 8-10AM.

The plus point is that the staff is helpful as on the 1st day the lady at the front desk asked me when was my return flight and what time was it. I told her 6.30 pm and she said though the checkout time is 11am, i should check with the front desk on the last day and ask is they can give me a late checkout.
edit Though I did not get this extended check-out when asked for on the last day

Beach Beauty

We stayed here for two nights. Good hotel with nearly all necessary facilities. The best part being it is right on the Calungate beach. The hotel takes you straight to the beach. Very Good garden and decent swimming pool. Well stuffed bar.

Unique Quality: The access to the beach is the best part. Great view of the beach from the room. Good swimming pool. Decent food
