Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort: Excellent.. A must visit!    Check Rates

    • Duration of stay- 15th to 20th june 2008 (off-season)

    Location:
    Candolim beach ( 100 metres to the beach from back entrance)
    Beach was ok ... practically deserted since it was offseason time...

    Baga,Calangute beach about 4-5 km away...better to rent vehicle whcih was booked outside the hotel (cheaper).... Scorpio car(fits 10 persons)..Rs 1400 per day (diesel extra)...made life very convenient

    Plaza Room Rate per night: (with extra bed)---> approx 90$ (rs 3500)

    Rooms:
    The plaza room were average size(can fit extra bed comfortably)...clean
    Flat screen TV (with large variety of channels)
    DVD Player in all rooms (movies can be borrowed from the recpetion at no extra cost..nice)

    Bathrooms were clean and the house keeping was prompt and effecient

    Swimming pool:
    Well maintained but was only 4 feet deep all around ...
    Nice pool bar with effecient bartender
    Water polo nets ..balls..frisbee etc all provided for in the pool

    Breakfast: Buffet @ Citrus cafe every morning from 6am to 12am
    Excellent variety to choose from..
    EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM CITRUS CAFE STAFF..VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL...CANNOT PRAISE THEM ENOUGH:)

    Pool table @ the citrus cafe free to all guests..

    Cons:
    Didnt eat any meals(lunch or dinner) at the hotel since it was quite expesive.Besides nothing like eating at the shacks at baga!

    Repair work was going on in one section of the hotel so ensure that u get a room as far as possible if you are a late riser (post 10am)

    Newtons supermaket walking distance ... gr8 to buy essentials

    VERY WARM AND FRIENDLY STAFF.... CANNOT PRAISE THEM ENOUGH :)

    STAFF AT THE CITRUS CAFE DESERVES SPECIAL MENTION...THEY LOOK TO SERVE GUESTS WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM AND A SMILE ON THEIR FACE...EXTREMELY SATISFYING

    • Just back from this un.. a bit smallish resort overall, but a great experience neverthless.
    We stayed on a 4 nights package which cost about Rs 20300($510) for two persons on a MAP basis(without transfers). The place is on the main road and is easily accessible. It has a very small parking lot outside which can accomodate your rented bike or car( a lil difficult at times). The service was immaculate and everyone I mean EVERYONE in the hotel was very polite,welcoming and ready to help.
    Food: breakfast was pretty sumptuous and filling with variety but I found the rest of the menu for the meals a lil below expectations in terms of variety.. They have two restuarants.. one is a noodles bar or something which I assume would be more of the oriental stuff and the other is a cafe house which also serves meals a la carte and ofcourse the breakfast.
    I stayed at Plaza room which is the economy version of the rooms available. It was pretty much sufficient, well maintained and the only thing missing was the bathtub..
    I would surely recommend this place for people who dont want to spend a bomb on a hotel(who should in Goa?? u are not there to enjoy the hotel) and yet enjoy all the stuff you need for part time accomodation.

    They have a swim-up pool bar and though the pool itself leaves has only 4 ft depth (which makes it hardly a swimming pool but a floating pool), it is spacious in terms of size and an adjoining small children pool as well.
    Rooms are pretty decent.. kingsized beds with a single large mattress.. something which is not common in Goa unless your are staying at the big hotels..
    Very clean place..all round.

    • stayed for 3 days
    nice clean place
    garden view rooms are not really garden view
    they r basic rooms

    nice complimentary dvd in room. have got a nice collection,,esp if you have children and need to leave them for a few hours
    the food is good
    they have a very nice pool and they conduct a nice water polo game

    This hotel is very nice in Candolim...nice rooms, great pool, very friendly staff...Would definately recommend this hotel for a great stay in Goa!!

    The pool is just fantastic...the rooms are large and clean.

    Lemon tree is the latest addition on the never ending staying options on the candolim stretch. Near to Casa shell and 50 meters away from Candolim beach is Lemon Tree's November 2006 opened hotel.

    We stayed there for 4 nights in the last week of May. We were well taken care off and the hotel had all the amenities. Its not a big resort by all stretch of imagination and isnt in the league of Cidade or Park Hyatt or Marriott. However, its a good hotel which gives comfort and has good facilities. The rooms are good and are adequatel. The service is good and the people take care of you which is v important. In all, definitely good place to stay and relax.

    Good things about the hotel:

    The room service and restaurant people take care of you
    Good pool - well spread and usage
    good pool bar
    good breakfast buffet spread - good food
    good food on the menu

    Adequate things:
    Spa
    Gym - adequate could be better

    Not so great things:
    reception folks were stiff and not so helpful
    Inflexible on check out timings
    Had a bad time with their terrace lock - darn thing needs an induction
    Not much choices on the menu
