Stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed everyday! I would want to give a fair review and not an emotional one. so heres Pros n Cons according to me: Pros: 1. Amazing staff, always looking to serve you. help is just a call away. very attentive. 2. Beautiful pool(4 ft deep, ideal for non swimmers also) with attached pool bar and music on request. I preferred being in pool than go out to a beach. 3. Beautiful ambience, looks minimal yet sufficient to keep you happy. Sometimes i felt i should stay back at hotel instead of going out. 4. Citrus cafe, the in-hotel restaurant, is very good and and serves a buffet which is basic yet fulfilling. I would suggest to include breakfast and lunch/dinner package in your hotel package. 5. Location is ideal as its placed on candolim road which has so many good hotels and eateries within a kilometer. You can walk to reach anywhere,to a beach, any good hotel, many shops. Fort Aguada, club cubana, club Titos, beaches like calangute, baga, anjuna within 15kms distance.

Cons: 1. Rooms are not spacious at all, you would feel a lil put off once you enter room. But if you are not planning to stay in room for long then this is good enough for basic needs.rooms are very well kept, neat, clean but small. Do not choose Garden rooms.Garden is outside 2 meter attachment to room which makes you wonder if it was needed or not. 2. Overpriced, if you think as to why you paid so much for a small room. But one can choose this, based on value additions at hotel as mentioned in PROS.
    3. Beds are too soft.
Overall very happy with this hotel. I am happy i dint choose any other 5star hotel as i got 5star treatment at this 4star hotel. For me size of room does matter but was overcompensated by all value additions. Felt Live entertainment in evening would have made this place perfect.

Well I would go back again and again to this hotel without thinking twice. Thank you for the LemonTree experience.

Unique Quality: Beautiful swimming pool. republic of noodles caters to ppl who love thai food

    Nice Hotel, Good Location

The Lemon Tree hotels are advertised as business hotels although the 2 we have stayed at (including this one) are in tourist areas. We booked a standard room and got an upgrade with a balcony, which was nice.

The room was very nice with all the amenities: flat screen TV, DVD player (DVDs available at the front desk), refrigerator/mini-bar, 2 bottles of water daily, workstation desk, laptop safe, couch & chair, and comfortable king bed and nice linens. The bathroom was nice as well - with bathtub and LT's own brand of toiletries.

The hotel itself was decorated in medieval style which was so out of place in Goa!

Breakfast - which is usually included - is served in the Citrus Cafe. Food is mostly Indian although omelettes, waffles, etc. are available. There are too many restaurants to try out in Goa to eat lunch or dinner at the hotel!

The hotel is not on the beach as the name might suggest but you are within walking distance of the beach, and plenty of restaurants and shops as well.

Two things that were not so good: price of internet access was high (Rs 700 for 24 hours, Rs 275 for 2 hours). Unless you really need to be connected, go to one of the very inexpensive internet cafes within walking distance. The other thing - was the lack of cleanliness of the pool. The water was really murky. There were plenty of people swimming, including some Indians in full street clothes, which may have explained the condition of the water. There were signs posted about swimming, but the guests obviously ignored the signs and the staff did not seem to enforce the rules.

Although this was the only the very beginning of the season in Goa, I thought the price was very high for this hotel. On the lower end, there are many, many other choices. On the higher end - there are a couple of really, really nice places - but at $100 more per night (at least).

Check the website for additional hotel amenities which include a kid's playroom and salon/spa.

The rooms were so nice, clean, and comfortable that I could overlook any issues (and swim somewhere else!). And the location is my favorite in Goa, so I would consider staying here again.

    Excellent.. A must visit!

    Duration of stay- 15th to 20th june 2008 (off-season)

Candolim beach ( 100 metres to the beach from back entrance)
Beach was ok ... practically deserted since it was offseason time...

Baga,Calangute beach about 4-5 km away...better to rent vehicle whcih was booked outside the hotel (cheaper).... Scorpio car(fits 10 persons)..Rs 1400 per day (diesel extra)...made life very convenient

Plaza Room Rate per night: (with extra bed)---> approx 90$ (rs 3500)

The plaza room were average size(can fit extra bed comfortably)...clean
Flat screen TV (with large variety of channels)
DVD Player in all rooms (movies can be borrowed from the recpetion at no extra cost..nice)

Bathrooms were clean and the house keeping was prompt and effecient

    Swimming pool:
Well maintained but was only 4 feet deep all around ...
Nice pool bar with effecient bartender
Water polo nets ..balls..frisbee etc all provided for in the pool

Breakfast: Buffet @ Citrus cafe every morning from 6am to 12am
    Excellent variety to choose from..

Pool table @ the citrus cafe free to all guests..

Didnt eat any meals(lunch or dinner) at the hotel since it was quite expesive.Besides nothing like eating at the shacks at baga!

Repair work was going on in one section of the hotel so ensure that u get a room as far as possible if you are a late riser (post 10am)

    Good place at Candolim

Just back from this un.. a bit smallish resort overall, but a great experience neverthless.
We stayed on a 4 nights package which cost about Rs 20300($510) for two persons on a MAP basis(without transfers). The place is on the main road and is easily accessible. It has a very small parking lot outside which can accomodate your rented bike or car( a lil difficult at times). The service was immaculate and everyone I mean EVERYONE in the hotel was very polite, welcoming and ready to help.
Food: breakfast was pretty sumptuous and filling with variety but I found the rest of the menu for the meals a lil below expectations in terms of variety.. They have two restuarants.. one is a noodles bar or something which I assume would be more of the oriental stuff and the other is a cafe house which also serves meals a la carte and ofcourse the breakfast.
I stayed at Plaza room which is the economy version of the rooms available. It was pretty much sufficient, well maintained and the only thing missing was the bathtub..
I would surely recommend this place for people who dont want to spend a bomb on a hotel(who should in Goa?? u are not there to enjoy the hotel) and yet enjoy all the stuff you need for part time accomodation.

Unique Quality: They have a swim-up pool bar and though the pool itself leaves has only 4 ft depth (which makes it hardly a swimming pool but a floating pool), it is spacious in terms of size and an adjoining small children pool as well.
Rooms are pretty decent.. kingsized beds with a single large mattress.. something which is not common in Goa unless your are staying at the big hotels..
    Very clean place..all round.

Directions: Turn left after hitting Candolim when arriving from Panjim and its about 200 meters on the left side of the main road

    Candolim's newest addition

Lemon tree is the latest addition on the never ending staying options on the candolim stretch. Near to Casa shell and 50 meters away from Candolim beach is Lemon Tree's November 2006 opened hotel.

We stayed there for 4 nights in the last week of May. We were well taken care off and the hotel had all the amenities. Its not a big resort by all stretch of imagination and isnt in the league of Cidade or Park Hyatt or Marriott. However, its a good hotel which gives comfort and has good facilities. The rooms are good and are adequatel. The service is good and the people take care of you which is v important. In all, definitely good place to stay and relax.

Unique Quality: Good things about the hotel:

The room service and restaurant people take care of you
Good pool - well spread and usage
    good pool bar
good breakfast buffet spread - good food
    good food on the menu

    Adequate things:
Gym - adequate could be better

    Not so great things:
reception folks were stiff and not so helpful
    Inflexible on check out timings
Had a bad time with their terrace lock - darn thing needs an induction
Not much choices on the menu

Central locaton for all needs

by TripAdvisor Member TracieMarlow

This is a good centrally located hotel. The hotel itself is a 3 star, simple but clean rooms which is enhanced by fantastic customer service. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much for them.

The pool and seating area was small so we went to the beach each day. Be warned as soon as you step outside the back of the property you will be met with the rubbish and hawkers on the way to the beach.

The beach is public and not the cleanest and you will be bothered by hawkers so ensure you take your iPod!

Lots of great restaurants including Celicias, Stonehouse, Seashell, Kalinga and Fishermans Cove. The best however was at the hotel Republic of Noodles - yes it is more expensive but it was absolutely superb food. The staff were friendly and extremely attentive. Make sure you visit Raj and the team

Clean, tidy and friendly

by TripAdvisor Member Columbus42

This was the third time we have stayed here. Have book direct with hotel before with no problem. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good central location for Candolin, loads of bars and restaurants in walking distance, if you are looking for good old English grub for your first visit to India you can’t go wrong in this area. Local food is also very good – and cheap! Very quiet location once inside the hotel and round the pool. Rooms are clean and tidy, good A/C. If you can afford it go for one of the 5 Heritage rooms, lots of space. Short walk to the beach, no hassle and more bars (in season) on the beach. We will be back!

great days at the lemon tree

by TripAdvisor Member holidaypaul

ok. lets start with problems we had. the travel agency
" make-my-trip" had messed up our planings. they had forgotten to mention that we r a family with three kids and that webooked two rooms with interconnected doors. Even if it was the agencies fault, the hotel management did a great job to fulllfill our request (don t forget, high season).
lemon tree is definatly more than a 3 star hotel. Well it is located in a crowded area, but the resort itself is a oasis of tranquillity. the very, very friendly personal tries always their very best to comfort you.the hotel has different catagories - try the heritage rooms. They are worth to be expirienced. lemon tree is a good place for families, everybody loves children.
for lunch or dinner we recomend the "republic of noodles"- restaurant. delicious food in a very cosy atmosphere. try the spare ribs. in the other restaurant we recommend the breakfast buffet. great variety of indian and continental, always fresh and good taste.the restaurant manager and his staff takes always care for you.
Dont forget to say hello to mr. ratha, the most friendly guard at the front gate and sometimes the back door.
lemon tree is about 500 meter from the beach. make your way on a sandy path trough the gift shacks of some dealers. The beach side is medium crowded, the bar and rstaurant shacks are typical goan. drinks and food are ok. the only disadvantage is the garbage everywhere. And after beeing in goa more than ten times we don t understand, why goa has to go through the same expiriences as europe does 20 years ago. CLEAN UP YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND GOA WILL BECOME A PEARL IN THE INDIAN OCEAN.

Great hotel and location
