Mandrem Beach
by helen2006 about Dunes Holiday Village
We stayed at Dunes on Mandrem Beach for a week in January 2006. The accommodation is in beach huts which are either shared facilities (between two huts) or with an ensuite. Huts are with electricity and mosquito nets and are basic in nature. The beds are rock hard so no good if you have back problems - I don't and had trouble sleeping. We shared our hut with a variety of wildlife - lizards and rats but then they are only huts and we paid less than £8 per night so what can you expect. The restaurant at Dunes does good food, entertainment on several nights and the waiters are very friendly and helpful. Mandrem Beach is quiet with several beach shacks and Arambol is a 30 minute walk up the beach where there are more restaurants and a bit more life in the evenings. This end of Goa is relatively uncommercialised (at the moment) so if you are looking for more peace and quiet then this end is for you.
Goa's BEst Kept Secret
by ramansinghindia about Toor Resort - Mandrem Beach - Goa
I Visited goa in sep this year and landed at this unknown hotel on a secluded beach.
But was I surpriesd!!!!!! Toor Resort mandrem beach was such a fantastic surprise. The hotel was right by the beach and for the price it was a great treat. The staff was so helpful and took care of every small need of mine.
I will recomend anyone looking for a goa hotel to try and stay here. The hotel is right by a secluded beach mandrem and a short drive to baga (clubbing place).
Insted of booking via anyagen just call them or checkout the site toor.com
THANKYOU TOOR RESORT for making my trip so FUN. Swimming pool and the bar opposite the pool was great fun. Just sit in or around the pool and order drinks or just relax in the garden on a hammock.
And so close to such a beautiful & Secluded beach. Loved swimming in the warm sea everyday.
Beach Huts in north Goa
by SANJOO about Sea side eco-friendly accommodation
The nearest beach huts from Candolim would be at the northern Goa beaches of Morjim, Mandrem, and further up to Vagator and Arambol.
Decide on which beach you want to visit and then look for stay options.
Mandrem beach
by georeiser
Mandrem Beach is a nice beach, but the sand is a bit darker than f.ex Candolim and Calangute. A river flows right behind the beach, so you must cross the river on a wooden bridge to get to the beach. Mandrem Beach is more deserted than the other beaches in North Goa. And with very few beach sellers.
The village close to the beach is small with a scattered settlement.

Arambol & Mandrem - a place to stay?
by emycamper
Dear All
I am a lone female traveller arriving in Goa middle October. I wish to commence my journey in the north and am hoping that someone will be able to recommend a low cost, but clean, safe and freindly guest house/hotel/cottage in either Arambol or Mandrem where I can stay for approx 2-3 weeks.
Unfortuanetly, I cannot find that many on the web and the ones I can are all quite expensive.
Many thanks,
Emily

Hi Emily, try a look at the above link.
OK so it's coco huts on the beach and you may think not very secure, but the owners provide safety deposit boxes to keep your valuables.
Great location, nice huts and as with most places in Goa, very friendly.
For a 3 week stay in October i would try to haggle them for 200/250rps per night.
Good luck.
Eddie

accommodation in goa kerala
by almodovar
travelling to india at the beginning of november, and wanting to stay at some quiet beach front accommodation had thought of mandrem, goa, etc where my husband has been before; or had looked at kerala, same sort of thing. Simple accommodation is good, somewhere with vegetarian food, and definitely no parties, definitely looking for a chill out trip (romantic also). Really keen to book before we go rather than arrive and book, any advice? Would like to see pics before we book if possible ..
Thanks
af

Most places around Mandrem are simple affairs without internet...so not easy to get hold of in advance, but November is fairly quiet so you'll have no problem finding somewhere. I've not got pics of accommodation, but there are pics of the local beach in my Goa travel pages...
