Do not fall into their marketing trap
I stayed RGBC, Benaulim, Goa (India) for 4 days starting from 13th March, 2010 under their promotional package. I had all the pleasure of having the best of hospitality until the last day, when I had a session with their marketing executive, Ms. Rupal. This girl made all sorts of false claims about the offer, thereby convincing me to finally buy the membership (Purchase Agreement RIHC1 / 160310/6828). Later, when I started realizing a lot of false promises about the offer, I contacted the office. It was quite ironic that there were no efforts made by RGBC to even respond to my written complaints. I believe such fraudious marketing practices would ultimately dent company’s good will.
I want to advice all not to fall into their marketing trap. Even wiser to stay there under the package and come back without buying the membership, take your own time and evaluate all the features first.

1st goan impression
stayed here for 2 wks last dec. 1st impression was how basic it was, although everything else was so good. Staff, food, location, amenities etc. This summer it has been completely revamped and is now all mod cons. Will be returning this coming feb. Brilliant place.
Unique Quality: beach easy walking, cheap taxis outside with no pressure from drivers, outside resaurants and bars all in all everything very good.

Laid back resort
A relatively small, relaxed resort with every facility on hand, gym, pool, bars, restaurant (pricey compared with outside), ayurvedic massage and lots more. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

by jalapeeno about Mexican @the Royal goan beach club
This place is based ( I think ) at the Royal Goan beach club in baga. Someone told us about this place and we went!! its ok.
Nice ambience abot the place, when you walk in look right and go sit on the comfy chairs!! The menu is a typical mexican choice with all the usual fajihtas/burritos ect. Tasted cool, service was good and if you like mexican we would reccomend you go and check it out. Fahijtas, salsa and guecamale (spelt wrong i know!!)
Endless Beaches but watch out for the peddlars

We spent 2 weeks at the Royal Goan Beach Club (time share) and had a very relaxing time. If you like fish this is the place for you - the most expensive dish was tiger prawns the size of lobsters (honest) for about £9 for 3 with accompaniments. Mostly you can dine out for abour £15 -20 per couple, The locals are very friendly and courteous. The only drawback is the peddlars on the beach. On the whole okay but can be persistent.

Both places are excellent with 4 star facilities. The beach at Haathi Mahal is one of the best beaches in Goa.You will not regret it . Beach side pubs offer great seafood cheap

All the RGBC/ RCI Properties are world-class, though both of those are a little bit off the beaten track. Stayed at both Benaulim and Haathi Mahal (they were still working on the casino last time I checked), but the most conducive to actually getting out of resort-mode and around the city is the North Goa property at Arpora -- Monterio Bay. It's definitely not as equipped as the other two, but more geared towards lone travellers, or atleast not to the bingo-carrom-swim crowd you're likely to encounter at Benaulim. Food's great everywhere though in South Goa, I do remember Johncy's and Quincy's as superb, and Martin's was just exceptional. Though if you do manage to spend a day in North Goa, definitely head to Souza Lobo's (Seafood) at Calangute or Lila's Cafe (breakfast and lunch, Swiss/German) right by the Monterio Bay Property.

A: "Ahh, here is the post!! Yes, I'd recommend booking in advance for December - busiest time of the year. Baga or Calangute would be a good place to stay - plenty of..."
