Nirvana Cafe, Om beach
Nirvana Cafe is a very nice place with pleasant huts in a neat and well trimmed garden with a lot of plants and coconut trees. There are also brick or wooden rooms. The food in the restaurant is very good and the staff is efficient.
About 700rps a hut

Hotels in Gokarna
On Kudle beach there are many kinds of accommodation. I can not recommend any one in particular. You'd better look for yourself. Most of them are straw huts with common bathrooms and a warm, laid back atmosphere.
I liked Dragon Cafe. It is clean and tidy.
Cottages with bathroom cost 400 to600rps depending on the size and luxury.
There is an internet center
Hotel Gokarna International Beach Resort. It is a tall building in the middle of Gokarna beach built in a spacious garden. In my opinion it doesn't match with the ambiance of the beach but some tourists like to have their comforts. The rooms cost 1500-2500rps. I have read some complaints about the staff, the food and the rooms, but I didn't stay there, I only visited for the massage. So I have no idea. To me the staff were very polite and helpful.
Anyway you check yourself before you decide.
It has a bar and two restaurants, a vegetarian and a non vegetarian one.

Look Sea hotel is in the northern part of the beach. It has some spacious rooms which are quite decent and some very basic ones which are not comfortable at all. There are two rooms on the sand in front, which look very nice. The restaurant and some of the rooms have nice views to the sea. The people running it are very nice. The restaurant is very pleasant with excellent view and tasty food. Most rooms have to use the common bathroom which is uncomfortably built on top of a slippery short path far away from most rooms.

Prices are 150-400rps.
Strawberry guest house looks clean. Rooms are spacious and cost 600rps with bathroom
It's located in the northern part of the beach.
Rock Namaste Cafe with rooms for 300rps without baths in the northern part of the beach.
and Om Shanti Cafe for 200 without bath has a multi national cuisine including Italian, Mexican and various other dishes.
On Half Moon beach there is Half Moon Beach Garden Restaurant with some rooms for 150-200rps but I didn't look at the rooms. The restaurant has a very picturesque location and the food was quite good.
On Om Beach the most popular is Nirvana Cafe (see tip), Om Santi Cafe, Namaste Cafe and several more, hidden in the palm groves. There is also the upmarket Swaswara Resort up hill.
Paradise beach has no accommodation. Some travelers stay there, sleeping on their hammock or in their sleeping bags.

Shiva Shanti: Another main beach resort.
The last night I stayed in this place because some of my friends were staying there. Again I payed 50 roepies for accomodation. It was a room here with a musquitonet. The room was better than in Ananda but the toilet and the shower were a bit worse.
Here's also a restaurant and a game of Karom.(indian pool pretty funny)

Ananda: a main beach resort
I stayed for many days in this place on main beach. If you get to the beach from the town turn left. Then it's quite a big walk. There are many beach huts along the way.
I had a beach hut for 50 roepies a night. Pretty basic but cheap. I had my own musquito net with me. There is a communal place upfront facing the beach. You can get food and drinks over here.
The toilet has a disco light in it. Pretty freaky.
