Hotel Temple View, Mahabaleshwar: Calm, Cool and amist Nature at reasonbale price

It was a great stay at a property actually managed by the owners to make it a memorable one. The food was delicious as good as home made and very fresh with choicest of inter-continental, indian and chinese dishes.
There was lot of room for children to play and the upper lawns of the property gave a breathtaking view of the hill station spread across miles. We could also have a look at the stars in the sky which is so comforting and relaxing which i have not seen for years in Mumbai. I have become a fan of this place Mahabaleshwar and definetly keeping the budget of hotel Temple View with its offerings, wouldnt look at any other hotel. The rooms are very well planned with clean WC and most importantly a 24 hour coffee shop.
I would definetly recommend this hotel to all I know.

Unique Quality: Its a place amist nature and very close to most of the viewing points. We could actually walk to the divine and hitorically ancient temples from which the place got the name "Mahabaleshwar" meaning that of Lord Shiva. there is a cluster of around 10 temples in a close vicinity of about 0.5 kms from the hotel Temple View which gives room for some nice walk in the mornings and late afternoons through the serene and cool atmosphere filled with woody adventure.
There are small nice places in the lawns exclusively for children to play and be busy at. They serve the fast food of Mumbai and deliciously fresh strawberries with icecream.

Hotel Blue Star: Unwelcoming and dirty

Unpleasant! The room has bugs squashed on the walls, very dirty and smelly sheets, a filthy bathroom and the biggest cockroach we have ever seen. The staff were unfriendly. A man knocked on our doos twice one night, once for no apparent reason and the other time to tell us to turn the television off and go to sleep (just before10.00 p.m.) They did not understand when we requested a bucket of hot water in the morning but returned 15 minutes later, after we had both showered, to ask if we would like one. We were then interrupted as we were packing to be told either to leave immediately or to pay for another night because checkout was at 9.00 a.m. but we had not been told.
Mahabaleshwar is a beautiful place however we would recommend that visitors stay elsewhere!

SWISS COUNTRY RESORT: DEFINITELY NOT ALPINE

well the rooms are too pricey for what they are. the restaurant is very costly with no quality. we ate outside and got value for money at hirkani restauramt just across the road opp saj resorts.there is a fine tea stall which opens at around 8am opp shreyas hotel and serves bread butter and good tea which u can use.
the hotel has some good surrounding areas but professionalism is lacking.

Unique Quality: Very good surroundings but very ordinary resort for which they charge you a bomb.fortulately we had the booking as a result of offer from a company so it turned out to be cheap but the resort has some very small rooms which they make use of for the so called attractive offers.
it advertises a preheated swimming pool but i never saw it. part of the resort was under renovation its probably and old resort which shut down and a new management has taken over the refurbishing.

excellent corteous staff owner very very cooperative, rooms resonably priced

I dont remember the name!!!: So cozy

I dont remember the name, hey thats not the name of the hotel!!! We went during off season times and the rates were cut down drastically or we got them reduced, advantages of going in off season.

Unique Quality: But mostly u will find hotels here with good facilities, except that u will have to give a shout everytime u need to take a bath for warm water.
