How is the road journey from Agro to Mussoorie. Is it comfortable wid small kids?? I wish to travel from Agra to Mussoorie by road in the end of June. Is the weather and road journey good for that time?
The roads themselves are thankfully continuous and paved the whole way. Problem is that there are several sections with potholes and too much traffic for the size of the road.
Travel time will be an extremely long day if you make it in one go. It is not recommended to drive some of those roads at night because many vehicles do not have proper lights.
If you want it to be comfortable with small children, make many stops to stretch their legs and make sure you have a car with adequate air conditioning.
Thanx man.....this advice will be helpful for me....thx again !
Agra to Delhi 3 to 4 hrs depending on traffic.Actually you need not enter Delhi take the Kalindi Kunj road to Noida - Ghaziabad.Ghaziabad to Mussoorie another 6 to 7 hrs.A good A/C car is a must.Take the Muzaffarnagar bye-pass,Meerut bye-pass.
There are two Roads :
1. Agra, Aligarh, Greater Noida, Hapur, Meerut, Dehradun, Mussoorie (Approximately 420 KMs)
2. Agra, Mathura, Faridabad, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Dehradun, Mussorie.
Road condition between Agra to Mussorie is excellent. Agra to Delhi . (Approximately 470 KMs)
If u take Road No. 1, road conditions are not good. If you take Road No. 2, no need to worry about.
Still, as u have kids with you its better to book 2nd or 3rd AC in train. Or take Road No. 2 and take rest just after crossing Palwal ( 150 Kms from Agra) and At khatauli (Cheetal Restaurant), Midway pint between Delhi and Dehradun.
write back if u need more info.
