Mussoorie
"Night Driving in the winters"
India is generally a great place for driving trips. North India is rather bland, at least on the plains, but every now and then, you experience something out of the ordinary.
"Development in view"
On the drive up from Dehradun, we were stopped because a roadside tree was being "pruned", as it was effecting either the multifarious cable traffic or in danger of upsetting the road traffic. It looks like the guy is hanging on for dear life as a work gang pulls on the top half (see the rope at top right of photo).
"Smoke break"
We stopped to capture some of the sites en route to Mussoorie, and of course, for a smoke break. 3 tired but happy journeyers in the foreground, with Mussoorie town visible from the background.
"Next stop"
Greenery at its best on the next stop. You can see the numerous hairpin bends or switchbacks that mark the road up to Mussoorie.
"Point Counterpoint 1"
Two snaps taken of the view from mussoorie.
"Point Counterpoint 2"
now the same snap in sepia!
"Serial ....?"
Deewakar, taken at close range. Would you trust your child/sibling with this man? :-)
"kempty falls"
one of the more famous landmarks around mussoorie is Kempty Falls. A short drive away, the falls are a standard tourist destination. We decided to bow our heads to tradition and visit the falls. Vaneet has taken the snap with Deewakar, Manish and I in the frame.
